If you were to tell me at the age of 9, that ten years later I was gonna go through hell. That everything thrown at me slowly tore me down. I would've said I could do anything. I could defeat anything that tried to harm me. And if you were to tell me 19-year-old self that I would make it. I would shake my head and yell at you. Because at that time...to me it just wasn't an option.

I felt my shoulder being pushed, small fingers digging into the flesh of my shoulder making me groan as I turned over. There sat a deep blue eyed black hair little girl, her other small hand balled up and rubbing against her eyes as she smiled at me.

"Uncle Gorgie told me it's time to wake you up!" Her soft voice filled the air as I grunt at my daughter's words. The light of the hall shines into our room as I hear my mother and father talking down the hall in the kitchen. The smell of fresh coffee and some kind of greasy food had not only my mouth watering but my stomach turning. "Georgie! Mama isn't getting ups!"

"Eve shhhh." I mumble my hand reaching over to press softly against her lips making her giggle as I hear footsteps walking towards my room and then the light was being blocked.
My brother's blue eyes met mine as I let out another groan. "No," I whined, making him giggle as he moved forwards. I watch as his hands land on either side of Eve's torso. Her giggling grew louder as he picked her up and made a 'swoosh' sound. Her pink nightgown dropped as he landed on the bed Next to me. She was in his arms as she sat on his chest and looked at the two of us.

"Gonna save lives today?"

"We always save lives." I whisper a smile on my face as I peek through my lashes to look at her, the pounding sensation of a headache storing as I take a deep breath in through my nose and sit up. There my mother stood with a smile on her face as Eve let out a squeak and jumped off of George making him grunt as I watched my mother pick up my baby girl.

"You know, it's such a long drive from here to the hospital, your father and I want to help the two-well three of you to move out." George looked up at me with wide eyes as I brought my knees to my chest and rested my cheek against them.

"You don't have to."

"We know we don't but..you both are 25 now and Eve here is turning five soon and there's that pre-k near the Hospital and the day care." Her words had me closing my eyes, nodding as I moved to get off the bed. I watch as Eve pushes out of my mother's arms running down the hall as my mom looks at me "You guys could always find roommates."

"No one wants a five year old in their home mom." I mumble as George sighs at my words.

"So you haven't told anyone."

"No she hasn't-it's no one's business mom." George pushes in as he gets off the bed and stands up. "Haley will tell people when she wants to not because you want her to." I look to my twin with thanks as my mother nods, her soft eyes looking down then back at me. Tears lining her waterline as I felt my heart rate pick up.
