Chapter 7

I ran to the bunker, crying. I ran to the room where my family was still having tears in my eyes. Jake walked up to me and hugged me not asking questions, he knows if I'm sad I can't and won't talk. After I calmed down I told them. " I saw him...h-he's dead" I started crying more. " Jessica honey who's dead?" My mom asked concerned. "Ezekiel he's dead" They all looked down in sadness and despair. "Jess babe I'm so sorry..." Jake puts his arms around me I couldn't do anything but cry. He put my head on his chest and I just stood there like that for 20 or so minutes. I picked my head up and looked at him and mumbled. " I'm ok" I smiled and kissed his cheek. He grabbed my hand and put his fingers between mine. We walked out the bunker. We walked by Ezekiel and headed down to the lake down the trail. We looked at the water, staring not saying much. We looked at each other. "Wanna go for a swim?" He smiled saying to me. I nodded yes and he took his shirt shoes off, I took my shoes off I had a bikini on underneath we jumped in. He grabbed me under water and lifted me up, we stared in to each other's eyes. He picked me up, me wrapping my legs around him. We kissed romantically he taking us back to shore. He laid me on the ground hovering over me. We kept kissing and kept smiling. After a while we stoped and just played in the water. He hugged me under water and lifted me up again me laughing. We jumped off a small cliff up above us. We laughed and smiled. We stoped and headed back to the bunker. I stopped him before entering. "Jake...I need to tell you something I don't think you will be happy but I feel like you need to know and please don't be mad." He caresses my hair and put his hands on my cheeks. " I could never be mad sat you EVER!" I smiled and said "Me and Ezekiel kissed but I stoped us and I did because we're together and then I ran and I came back and he was dead..." His mouth opened "Oh..." "I'm sorry Jake" "The main thing is you knew it was bad and you stoped and you told me... that means you love me" I smiled and hugged him saying "I love you" he kissed my head saying to me "I love you more" smiling we walked back.
