Chapter 4

Bam! The noise of a body being flung onto another wall at the speed of light in the empty streets interrupted the silent environment. The crackling of the bones hitting the wall made the attacker chuckle in venom. The streetlights allowed the victim glance up at its attacker, fast breathing and a swollen left eye hinted that he’s on the urge of breaking apart. “Our agreement was broken by you hunters first, that is why you must pay the price by given us the heart of your heir” The attacker’s voice was cold and spine shivering, bending down effortlessly the attacker took a grip of the victim’s chin and lifted it up to face him. Brown hair shimmered in the light, “That’s enough Seth” A commanding voice called from behind, Seth clicked his tongue and snapped his fingers away from the victim’s chin “We will never forgive what you have done to Kate” The victim cried in pain as he tried to lift himself up but his spine had already been broken in so many ways.

“Save your breath, we have nothing to do with this action, however on the reasoning point of view it was you hunter’s fault. You have broken the agreement between humans and vampires; from the moment you hunters had hunted down the pure-blooded vampires what happen now is an inevitable consequence. Humans born in the womb of fear will fear those that are greater than themselves will do their best to destroy it with their inner force. This is the nature of you flawed beings, that’s why there can never be an agreement between you and us” Noel explained as he entered the light clearly letting the victim to see what he had looked like.

“We only wanted to prevent future! We know that you are planning something too!” Seth chuckles and kicks the heel of his shoe, “I didn’t know you hunters were this good at getting information. However it makes no difference, because we’re not liking it either” Seth answered and slipped his hand into his pockets and turned 180 degrees around and faced away from the hunter. “W-who are you? Aren’t all you vampires the same?” The weak whisper of the hunter asked as he barely actually could keep his head up, “That is because, we’re the messengers of Noah, to find the child of the timeline” “Child of the timeline? Noah?” “You already know too much, Raym” Noel called and a sudden figure stood behind the hunter “No-no you can’t kill me!” “Killing is the wrong word” Raym smirked and a silent groan was all that came out of the hunter’s mouth. “Let’s go and find Zephyr, he should be the one behind this” Noel announced as the three vampires began to run in the speed of light leaving the body behind.

On the empty street alone, the night air helped to clear Misa’s mind slightly as she laid herself down on the bench which was directly under a street light. Reaching her hand out Misa reached out for the light in front of her as tears rolled down her cheek, “Rest in peace, Kate” She whispers, just as she whispers a gush of wind right next to her caused her to immediately turn around, for a moment she caught a sight of silver hair which caught her attention. The mysterious person felt her attention and quickly turned around and caught her eyes staring at him, the mysterious male didn’t have any specific emotion on his face but then the sudden disappearance of him caused Misa to widen her eyes in shock as she pushed herself up from her back “What on earth?” “It’s dangerous for a girl like you sitting here alone” A icy cold voice whispered behind her, the cold breath of the stranger travelled down her spin caused her to flinch. “H-how?” She asked as she turned to face the stranger, now she could fully see what he had looked like, silver hair and hazel eyes. “Don’t say I don’t give you a chance” He sighs and close his eyes slowly as her raised his hand and gently placed it onto her head.

Silent was introduced and the two stood there, Misa was almost dumbfounded in the random actions of the stranger as she stood there wondering what is going on and her courage had not let her down. “What are you doing?” She asks out of the blue causing the stranger to snap his eyes open, “Searching through your memories, next time don’t stay out so late” The stranger whispers and by snapping his fingers in front of Misa her eyes began to close unwillingly and before she completely blacked out she caught one last glimpse of the stranger’s eyes, they were indeed hauntingly beautiful.
