imagine a tiny cabin in a far out woodland, surrounded by the tallest of trees, each possessing the deepest colour of emerald on their branches.

when the sun would rise in the morning, it's pretty golden rays would seep through the gaps between the leaves and filter through the small windows in the cabin, casting a smile on a certain small boy's face.

he propped his chin up on his shoulder, gazing out of the window with a peaceful, content smile twitching at his pink lips. a faint shade of red dusted across his soft cheeks as he wrote.

spring was here, a season harry could grow to love firsthand, he could walk barefoot amongst the sprouting flowers and run around the place like a child, he could drink from the small stream that ran along their path. no locked doors, no guards and no more pain.

the door slamming open and a series of loud thuds did not startle harry. he continued to write without looking back, "welcome home." he said, waiting.

soon enough, simon's arms slid around his chest and he felt him press his chin onto harry's shoulder.

"why don't you love me anymore?" simon pouted, leaning over to admire harry's page of neat, curly handwriting.

"hey! no peeking, you promised!" harry said, covering simon's eyes with his small hand.

"okay, okay." simon sighed.

harry giggled, looking at the taller boys shoulders slump as his lips formed a pout. with his hand still covering the top half of simon's face, he leant over and pressed his lips to simon's.

immediately, simon kissed back moving his chapped lips against harry's soft ones. they stayed like this for a few seconds until simon couldn't take it, he grabbed harry by the waist and picked him up off of the chair. harry smiled into the kiss and wrapped his legs around simon, allowing himself to be carried over to the bed.

simon sat back on their bed, holding harry close to him as he opened his mouth slightly to part harry's lips, he gently ran his tongue over his prince's bottom lip and almost giggled when he earned a small whimper.

harry broke away, panting for breath. simon grinned, a little evilly at the flustered boy in front of him with even redder lips and pink cheeks. simon felt he hadn't spent a lot of time with his precious harry as he had been busy writing- he tried to not pester harry but enough was enough.

"i love you." simon smiled, a little sheepishly as he knew he had disturbed the boy.

harry tried to be angry but lost, pushing simon back onto the bed so he was laying down and re-attatching their lips, simon hummed appreciatively and slid his hands under harry's top. the two boys still could not get enough of eachother, after two years of just the two of them in this cabin they were still as deeply and sweetly infatuated with the other.

after all this time, harry's cheeks still flushed red at the sight of simon with wet hair and simon's heart still hammered in his chest when harry was being especially affectionate.

"baby, have you finished yet?" simon asked, his breathing heavy as harry left trails of kisses across his collarbones.

harry stopped to look back at his writing, "almost." he smiled, turning back and looking fondly at the boy below him, his hair tousled from harry running his hands through it and his eyes sparkly as they gazed steadily back.

harry had been writing their story, from the very day simon had broke into his room and disturbed his sleep up until they had built their home in this woodland, far away from their problems.

it had been a little over two years since they had ran away, and harry was the happiest he had ever been. maybe one day, he would return with simon and face his parents but for now, they just enjoyed being in love.

simon took harry's hand and brought it up to his lips, kissing it softly over and over. he still could not quite believe that harry loved him back, after all those months of being helplessly in love with this curly-haired, adorable prince and he could finally call him his. the very fact made his heart flutter, it had seemed so long ago when he was wondering the castle at night and happened to stumble upon the door that led him to the start of the story.

simon used to be a nervous wreck, always worrying and never being able to stay still- his father and instilled a sense of insecurity within the boy from a young age and that had followed him through life. however, he met harry and his world burst into colour, harry was the love and care he had been missing his whole life. this small boy in front of him had made him so unbelievably happy and he was so grateful.

in this little hideaway home, simon had the liberty of seeing harry all the time and not having to sneak around with him. they were obnoxiously in love and that was how simon liked it.

"what are you thinking about?" harry murmured, running his thumb over simon's lips.

"you," simon smiled as harry blushed, "i love you, have i told you that today?"

"yes," harry rolled his eyes, "only about a million times." he giggled, leaning down to press a kiss to the boy's nose, "i love you too, my hero."

"princess, have you seen mini simon lately?" simon said, glancing around him.

harry's eyes suddenly lit up as he threw a hand to his mouth, "oh my god! did i not tell you?"

simon looked at him, bewildered as harry grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the front door and round to the back.

a gasp escaped simon's mouth as he cast a look on the sight before him.

"s-simon is a she?" he said, stunned.

harry giggled, nodding. "we're going to be like parents!"

simon felt his heart stop for a moment as heat rushed to his face, he found harry so god damn adorable.

"why are you blushing like that, mister." harry smirked, poking simon's dimple and making him blush deeper.

"s'nothing." he mumbled.

harry leaned over a pressed a kiss to his dimple, slinging his arms loosely around simon's neck. they observed the cat in front of them, eyes closed as soft snores escaped- her stomach was noticeably big by now.

harry got up and walked back to the room to get his book, he sat down behind simon stroking the cat and murmuring cute things that made harry's heart beat faster. simon looked up to watch harry scribble down something at the very bottom of his page, curls falling into his eyes as he finished and looked up.

"you're done?" simon asked.

harry smiled, "the end."

and simon and harry, the reckless servant and the lonely prince, lived happily ever after.
