"Hey Amelia do you want to go to Korea town tonight? There's the annual moonlight festival being held and I thought you might want to see it." Kai asked as he and Amelia walked home.
" Really? A festival? Wow that must be really cool. Sure I'm definitely coming." She said smiling.
Kai looked over at Amelia and rustled her curly hair that was out in an Afro as he smiled down at her.
Over the last few months Kai had managed to find a spot in Amelia's broken heart from Ji's absence. They soon became great friends. Some could say that Amelia was repeating what caused her so much pain in the first place.
"Mmh I have so many things to show you. You'll love it" Kai said while walking with Amelia.
"I hope theirs tasty food." Amelia said licking her lips.
"Ha ha ha ha" Kai said suddenly laughing.
"Is food all you think about" he said still laughing a bit.
"Well food is bae" she said laughing also.
Suddenly Amelia started running.
"Hey you can't catch me" she said running away.
"You think" Kai said racing after her.
Kai raced after her getting closer and closer.
When Amelia looked back to see if Kai was catching up she suddenly lost her balance and began falling to the ground.
In record time Kai bolted toward Amelia his heart pounding in his chest.
He reached out for her hand pulling her to him while switching their bodies so he was the one taking the impact.
As Kai body hit the ground with Amelia on top of his he let out a painful grunt.
Amelia slowly opened her eyes as she realized her body didn't hit the ground.
She saw Kai beneath her and realized he took the fall for her.
Gasping she quickly got off of him and took his face into her hands.
"Oh my gosh Kai I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" She said concern and worry written on her face.
Kai didn't move a muscle as his pale face remained unmoved.
"Ka-Kai what's wrong? Yo-you have to w-wake up. Kai Kai" Amelia said tears now falling from her eyes.
Suddenly Kai peeked open an eye at Amelia. A small smile came to his lips as he opened both his eyes.
"Wh-what Kai your okay?" Amelia asked confused.
"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be" Kai said smiling then chucking a bit.
"You think this is funny?" Amelia said getting slightly irritated. She softly smacked him.
"Ugh" Kai grunted pain showing on his face.
Amelia's face suddenly turned back to worry.
"Kai are you okay? Let me help you up" she said as she helped him get up.
Amelia gasped as she put her hands over her mouth her eyes becoming wide.
"Oh my. Kai your back, it's bleeding."
"It is. Mmmh it's probably just a scratch nothing to be worried about." He said smiling although he was in pain.
"No. Are you kidding me. We have to get this cleaned up." Amelia said pulling Kai to her house.
Amelia led Kai to her room as they came into the house Kai had come over to so many times before.
