TRAPPED

PROLOGUE

I wasn't  expecting this to happen in my life. I wasn't praying for this either.
While I was inside the academy, all I prayed was to survive the training, graduate, and have a nice job,  then settle down.

Pero mukhang totoo nga ang kasabihang, 'Expect the unexpected'
Kasi andito na ako sa entablado, kaharap ang matataas na military officials ng bansa.
Gra-graduate na ako.

" Best in martial arts, best in mountain ranging, best in field shooting, top one of the Alpha class. Soldier, concider your self from this day, as the country's new warrior. Congratulations."

Pagkatapos sabihin iyon ng class comander namin, (Alpha Comander) ay namataan kong papalapit sa gawi ko ang isa sa mga general ng bansa.
Agad akong nag-salute at ganon rin siya sakin,pagkatapos ay isinout sa akin ang limang medallion.

Nang maisout niya na ang mga iyon ay nagkamay kami, at muling nag-salute sa isa't-isa bago siya bumalik sakanyang upuan.

"She passed the exam, last 20**.  She's supposed to graduate after five years of training here in the academy, but here she is. After two years, she already completed the training!!  Ladies and gentleman, may I present to you, our first advanced cadet, Second Lieutenant Nechledon."

The moment my name was called, nagsimula ng kumabog ang puso ko.
Ewan ko pero kinakabahan ako, but at the same time, I'm excited.

I'm excited about the life that I will have after this, my future. Kung ano ang magiging kapalaran ko.

Nag-salute ako sa kanilang lahat, bago kinuha ang mikropono at nagsalita.

"I'm very thankful, first to our Almighty Father because he gave me this kind of blessing, this kind of skills, this kind of intelegence. Two years inside the academy was pure hell, but thank goodness I survived, and completed it all for two years. I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to do it if He wasn't there all the time, ready to help me. That's why I owe Him big time. Second, I want to thank Comander Ronald for giving me the chance to take the exam. I'm an orphan, I'm already expecting that I cannot go to college simply because I don't have enough money to pay all the expenses, but here I am, graduating. Lastly,  I wanna thank my friends who helped me cope up with the environment inside the campus. To all of you, thank you for coming here today.
I promise you that from this day forward, I will help the citizens, serve the country, and love our Almight God whole heartedly. I am Second Lieutenant Elizabeth Cris Nechledon, a country's warrior. "

I said, then smiled.
