Harrison was an open-minded and understanding man but he would not ever tolerate behavior like Darren's. Scott was more of a reserved old man. He didn't want to cause a scene in arguing with terrible behavior. Even thought Scott wasn't a man to stand up for himself in fear, Harrison was. Nobody talked to his uncle that way especially not an over-confident upper class man.
Darren left the store in anger, leaving his damaged car there and taking the limo back home to his family. He was planning on calling another auto shop the next morning. For him, being defeated by someone less wealthy and much younger than him drove him up a wall. He was very respected back home in Manchester, his word was almost like law back there. Now in America, in that Trembly Auto shop, he had no power and it made him very angry.
Harrison took a deep breath and hugged his uncle. Scott was still in shock from all the happened. He wasn't a man to get into fights like defending himself, it was rare to happen. Scott's mouth was wife open while hugging Harrison. He was shaking and gripped Harrison tightly.
Harrison chuckled, "Its okay Uncle, he's gone you know."
"Yes," he breathed and quietly painted, "I'm sorry."
Harrison's eyes grew and his eyebrows raised, "For what Uncle?"
"I wasn't strong enough."
Harrison rolled his eyes and smiled, "You are strong. It's okay to be scared. Now come on and help me carrying in the boxes I got."
"You got the supplies?" Scott asked with a much happier tone in his voice than what he previously had.
"Yes sir, Preston gave it to me for free as well."
Scott seemed quiet pleased with his nephew. He was turning more and more independent by the day and not needing his uncle's help as much as he used to. For a boy who didn't go to college, he seemed to know what he was doing. He was good with words, had a good image, he was everything Scott wanted him to be.
"Preston is a good man," his uncle said while going to the trunk.
"Yes he is."
The two men unloaded the car until they were down to their last box. They moved them all into a storage unit to collect later. Harrison was getting ready to go inside the shop until his uncle asked the daring question he was avoiding all night.
"Harrison...what's that?"
Harrison, scared for his life turned around slowly. He tilted his head and walked towards his uncle.
"What are you talking about?" Harrison asked back.
"What is this?" Scott asked pointing at a dent in his exhaust pipe, "This doesn't like old, Harrison. Did you do something?"
Harrison was doomed. He didn't want to lie to his uncle but he couldn't tell the truth. Either path would hurt his uncle and that was the last thing he wanted to do. He knew racing with Preston was a bad idea and he big time regretted it. He put his hand on his neck and pulled to stretch, and to calm his nervous. He nervously rubbed his neck and responded with the first thing that went thorough his head.
"Yeah...but it was Prestons fault."
"What?"
"Preston," he laughed nervously, "You know that guy, he was carrying a hammer, pretending to swing it like a caveman. Then he accidentally hit the car. Don't worry though, he said he was going to pay for it...if for some reason we can't fix it."
Putting Preston under the bus like that was not something Harrison did or wanted to make a habit of. He certainly would not ever lie again, but what else was he suppose to do.
His uncle didn't seem too convinced by his confused facial expressions. After a few moments of Harrison's excuse he seems to have gone with it, "Oh Preston. Tell him next time he wrecks your car you will wreck him."
"Oh," Harrison laughed, "Don't worry I'll tell him off completely next time."
"Good. I'm going to head back home to sleep. Meet you there?"
"You know you will," Harrison smiled, "I'm going to fix my exhaust and maybe tinker a bit. I'll see you at home."
"Okay kid, goodnight," he gave Harrison a nod and a quick smile before turning around to walk to his car into the night sky.
Harrison felt relieved that his uncle didn't find out, but terrible that he didn't. Either way, nothing bad happened so Harrison just brushed it off and continued his duties.

Julia was in her new room looking around for unique or exotic differences between this room and her old one. It was a beautiful room, two big glass stained windows over looking one of their three pools and giant gardens. She had a small walk in closet and enough room for a desk and big bed for her.
She didn't get to pick her room like her sisters. Crystal and Rose pretty much pushed Luke and Julia out of the way for the bigger rooms. It wasn't anything bad, Julia was happy with her room no matter the size. The walls were a light purple with built in bricks on one side of the wall. It was either there for decoration or parts of the bricks of the fireplace. Either way, it added diversity and uniqueness to her room.
The first thing she did to her room was move all her books on a bookshelf she managed to get together. She put a couple of her books next to where her night stand were to go and a couple more in the closet. She was excited to have new scenery to read and work. Luke's room was close to hers, they shared a bathroom together and were only a couple feet away. It was convenient for Julia, being able to walk only a couple steps to read or talk to her brother.
She was getting ready to take the first shower in the new country until she heard a loud, painful scream from her father who arrived home. She quickly ran downstairs to see what was the matter. She found her father sitting on the floor of their new home. She was about to ask what was wrong until he flat out told her.
"That blasted Auto Shop! Curse Trembly Motors!"
Julia was confused, why on earth would a car auto shop give him such a dishearten attitude. She knelt down to look at her father better. His blond hair was more messy than his normal look and his face was more scruffy looking. He seemed more stressed than usual.
"I take it the car is not fixed?" she asked with a smart attitude.
"No it's not," her father sighed rubbing his face.
"Dad, I get that you're mad, but get up."
Her father, frustrated, slowly lifted himself off the ground and tried to control his rage. He had hatred in his dark eyes. His anger always got the best of him, if the best of him is a real thing.
Julia's mother walked downstairs to join the two of them. Her mother was wearing more revealing clothes and had her hair in a short ponytail. Her makeup looked smeared, as if she was taking it off and ran down to investigate the yelling from Darren. When Julia was younger she used to be afraid of her father's yelling, now it's just routine.
Her mother put her hand on her chest and took a deep breath, "My, Darren you scared me. I thought someone was breaking in."
Darren chuckled and walked to his wife. "No darling I'm okay. Did everyone pick their rooms?"
"If you could call it that," Julia muttered grinning to herself.
"What was that Julia?" her father asked from her quiet speech.
"Oh nothing father," she replied, "I'm going to go check on Luke. See you in the morning."
Julia ran upstairs to see Luke. She was about to make a turn to his room until her parents began to speak. She wanted to ease drop, fining out if it was about her or this mysterious auto shop. She held on to be stairs railing and put her head as close to the stairs as possible to hear. She made sure to stay hidden, the last thing she needed is to be caught listening to her parents.
"Darren, what's going on why were you upset?" her mother asked awfully loudly enough for Julia to hear.
"Those people at Trembly Motors. It was some old man, about our age and this...boy who was an absolute jerk. He told me what to do and tried scaring me."
"Oh Darren, he wouldn't be able to hurt you."
Her father chuckled and lied, "He tried hitting me but don't worry I busted him real good."
Julia was shocked, who on earth would try an hit Darren Beaumont. She was even more surprised that her father didn't call the police or sue his shop. Her father was a man to do that, why not this boy? She shook the thoughts out of her head and kept listening to her parents.
"Darren, are you going to press charges or anything against that boy?" her mother asked with her voice getting louder.
There was a long pause, must've been her father thinking. He cleared his throat and laughed, "Nah, he's a kid, but tomorrow let's take the kids out to buy a new car. I think on the way I'm gonna yell at that boy one more time. You can come along with the kids."
"I wanna see this punk, I bet Crystal will slap him," her mother joked.
They both laughed and seemed to get very close to where Julia was. She started to panic. If she were to move, her parents would catch her for sure. She was going to turn around but walking into Crystal's room would be no better. She stated to panic at this point and accept her fate until none the than her little brother saved her.
"Thank you for fixing the railing, Julia," he said very loud to make things obvious.
Julia was thankful for her little brother, lying to save her the punishment. "Uh...no problem Luke. Would you like me to fix the washroom next?"
"Only if you give me fifty pounds," he joked back to make things even more obvious.
Her parents walked up and smiled at Julia. They seemed to not care and just walked to their bedroom. Julia fake smiled back and then waddled to her brother. The minute her parents' door closed she thanked Luke and invited him to join her in her room. He gladly accepted and followed her. The siblings entered her new room.
Luke laid down in her sleeping back on the ground. The family had to sleep on the ground with blankets or go to a hotel till their furniture came in. Crystal and Rose were pretty upset about it, like most things but Julia didn't mind, she didn't really want to go to a hotel anyway. Julia sat next to her brother wrapped up in extra blankets she brought.
Her brother looked up at her and smiled. She smiled back at him and let him lay down her. For a twelve-year-old boy, she was surprised on how much affection he would share. Most boys his age would be embarrassed but Luke didn't mind. He loved his sister.
"Are you not going to read tonight?" her bother asked confused.
"Not tonight Luke, I'm too tried and my head hurts a bit. I would sing to you but I'm sure Rose will come in and tell me to shut up."
Luke laughed and Julia smiled. The two held each other while sitting in silence with a single lamp in the corner of the room barely producing light. There was one thing about her room that she noticed. Her sisters must've not seen it. Julia titled her head and a little smile crept on her face.
She shook Luke to stop him from falling asleep. He asked her why she shook him but she ignored him and got up. She noticed a handle in the wall. Confused, she touched the handle and pulled, chasing paint to chip and fall on the ground. It was a door, painted over, almost invisible. The door lead out to a balcony in her room. She stepped out side to see the whole side of her house, just like the windows on the other side of her room that showed a beautiful view of the backyard. However, the balcony showed the road, and had more stars in the sky. It truly did look like a city of stars. The balcony wasn't huge, but it certainly was a beautiful scene. It was simple, nothing on it.
"Luke come out here and bring the blankets, let's sleep outside tonight."
Luke obeyed and brought what she asked for. He was amazed by her view, if truly was something to see every night. Her sisters didn't have views or balconies like this, she really did get the better room. Despite how her's is smaller, she got the real gem. Luke cuddled up with Julia in the corner of the balcony. The two of them laid down looking at the stars.
"I can come out her with you all the time right?" Luke asked.
"Sure, let's have sleepovers out here."
They both laughed and fell asleep ready for the days ahead of them.
