I woke up the next morning, stumbling around trying to get ready for school. I splashed a bit of water on my face to come around. A loud sigh came out of my mouth. "I honesty don't feel like going to school." I complained.
It was quiet, too quiet.
You looked to see if your mom was in the bed.
She wasn't.
"Why didn't she tell me she was leaving?" You pondered, dialing her number.
"Hello?" She picked up.
"Hey, mom. Where are you?"
"Oh, I'm sorry honey! I forgot to tell you that I'm having to start coming to work early. I'll be home around 9 some time tonight."
"What about me going to school though?"
"Maybe your friend next door can take you?"
You realized you lied to your mom about that but went along with it anyways. "Umm- sure."
"Great! Now, I have to go. Bye sweetie, love you."
"Love you too.. bye."
Mom would be pissed if she found out that I was lying about the neighbor thing.
I better start walking then.
You grabbed your book bag and went down stairs, making your way outside. You were really bummed about your mother's job. Just when it couldn't get any worse, it started raining. I tried to run as fast as my little legs can carry me.
Minutes later, I FINALLY made it to school. I'm really soaked, wet, and cold... This just might be a bad day for me.
I went straight to the bathroom to dry myself off with paper towels. I knew I had no hope but I tried anyways.
As I was making my way to class, my
shoes kept squeaking. Everyone made their attention to the door, that I was coming through. The whole class was whispering and snickering. I knew they were mocking the state I'm in. I went to sit down, and all the beady eyes kept staring at me.
"Stuart isn't at school either. Great. My day just keeps getting better and better." I sarcastically mumbled, rolling my eyes.
*Lunch time*
I went to the band room and seen everyone else but 2D.
"Hey, baby girl. What brings you here?" Russel said.
"Hey Russel, does anyone know where Stuart is?"
"He's shivering in his room like a coward." Murdoc blurted out.
You cut your eyes at him.
"Hush, man." Russel said to Murdoc. "He just didn't feel like coming to school today, from what I know." He shrugged.
"Um, I kinda want to check on him after school. Do you guys have his address or something?" You wondered.
"Toochi lives with us!" Noodle exclaimed.
"Oh..." You felt the awkward tension. "So, all four of you live together?"
