I just confessed my feelings to the girl I've loved for years. What if everything changes? What if nothing is the same? But what if something good changes?
"I-i can't believe this..." Ani trails.
I just stare at her through the screen of my computer, wondering what it would feel like having her in my arms or against my lips. She's all I wanted.
"I've had feeling for you for years, Ani, I...I love you..." I whisper.
"Tyler..." she smiles at me. "I love you too."
"So what's going to happen?" I ask.
"I don't know..." she bites her lip.
L-lets just wait it out. Don't be awkward. Just...I don't know..."
"Could we give us a try?" She asks.
"Do you really want to?" I ask.
"M-maybe...but maybe we could wait a while..." she sighs.
"I understand. Let's talk about something different." I say, smiling to her through the camera.
"How was your day?" I ask.
"Well, that guy, Jon, he got his girlfriend pregnant." She laughed.
"The guy you like?"
"Liked," She corrected, "but yes, him. I was actually happy for him."
"Oh," I let a small smile creep onto my lips.
"How was your day?"
"Boring, until about five minutes ago." I scratch my the of my neck. "I can't believe you're going to school here."
"Me neither, I'm excited." She smiles, playing with a pencil. "This is honestly so crazy."
"It is." I watch as she takes out her notebook, one of many, she starts writing and I see the cover. "Wait, ani, what does that say?"
"Oh, um, write about tomorrow." She smiles.
"I have the same notebook, I use it to write music." I pick up my notebook.
"Well that's a coincidence." She giggles. I was so in love with that laugh, I'd do anything to be able to see it in person.
After a few minutes of silence, I mention something. "Hey you're almost nineteen."
"Yeah, and you're almost twenty, still living with your mom." She laughs.
"Hey! I live close to my college." I laugh with her.
"Yeah, I get it. I can't wait til this early college is over with. I mean, I'm glad I'm getting two associates dregrees, but five years of this is crazy."
"At least we'll both be college students." I smile.
"That we will."

The last thing I expected that night was a call from Jonathan, but, I got one.
"Hello?" I asked over the phone.
"What do you do when you know a kid isn't yours?" He asked, his voice sounded sad.
"What?"
"She cheated on me."
I let out a small gasp, "Oh Jon, I'm so sorry..."
"I can't believe she'd do something like that to me. C-can we go walk or something?"
"Yes, yes, of course." I say softly.
-
"She cheated with Ryan? Wow, dick move." I shake my head after he tells the whole story.
She cheated on him with one of his closest team mates. She told him since she knew the kid wouldn't look like Jon at all. He was so upset, I felt bad.
"Yeah...I can't believe I trusted her..." he sighs.
"Well hey, if it makes you feel any better, we're almost out of school!" I smile.
"Yeah, that's exciting." He nods.
"What college are you going to?"
"Oh, uh, Ohio State...I think, maybe some place else." He says.
"Oh that's cool! I'm going to Ohio State. I have a really close friend that lives there. He's great." I smile as I think about Tyler.
"Thats sweet." He slightly smiles. I could tell he wasn't happy. She must've meant a lot to him for him to feel that bad.
"Hey, lets go grab some ice cream," I smile at him.
"Sure," he says. We walk towards a small ice cream shop and grab some ice cream.
We bonded a lot over ice cream. He told me a lot. He even mentioned that he's bisexual. It felt great talking with him.
"Well, its getting late. Thanks for this Ani. I'll see you at school Monday. Goodnight," He gave me a small hug and walked towards his house.
What a day.
