Disproving Calculations - Part 1

Me & Angela about "all the girls stuff"

(Saturday morning)

The next day, I don't even have to call Angela, because, of course, she calls me.

"Tell me everything!"

"You know, I don't like talking on the phone."

"Okay, I'll come to the bar!"

"Now?"

"Of course now, time for coffee!" Jesus, this woman. It's 10 am and she wants to come to a bar and talk about guys. At least, she only wants to drink coffee. Angela already hang up, so I go downstairs, making coffee. Wasn't like the bar was closed to this time, but luckily, I got keys and Matt is fine with me using the coffee machine...

"Sooo, looks like you turned little Zack's world upside down within 3 hours."

"Did I?"

"Girl, you kissed him! After you knew him for only three hours! He was completely overwhelmed with everything. He ran into the lab and looked more concentrated then I ever saw him and talked to absolutely no one. I know how it looks, when he thinks about something, and you almost made his head explode."

"Um... that's bad? You know, I only gave him a peck on the cheek and... I was still a little influenced by alcohol and... I thought it would be okay. It was only a little kiss on the cheek. And how do you know, when he didn't talk?"

"For you, it was 'only' for Zack it was 'oh my god'. You know, Hodgins told me that Zack fell for you, even before you talked to them. He was surprised too, but Zack was totally stunned by you. And Zack told him yesterday on their way home, of course, he informed me immediately."

"Sooo, why was it bad then, that I kissed him?"

"Looks like it was just too much for him, I think. And he told Hodgins, that he thinks, that he only could talk to you, because he was drunk."

"Do you think he wants to see me again?"

She laughs. "Of course, sweetie. How I said, he is absolutely lovey-dovey." Wow. I actually don't believe in things like love on first sight. And I would be absolutely sure, Zack neither.

"But when he was so shocked after that, how is this going to work?"

"Just give him time, sweetie. So, you like him too, right? Someone owes me five drinks?"

"Yes," I sigh "he's really cute. And strange. Everything just like you said. But I still have no idea where this will lead."

"He needs someone, Ilyana. Not just a girl for fun, he needs someone who cares about him. He needs a girlfriend."

"You know, I'm for relationships. But I don't even know where I'll be in two years."

"Yeah, but you know where you'll be the next two years."

"Right... Why do we even talk about that, I met him one time!"

"Yes sweetie, but you're obviously interested in seeing him again."

"Yeah, but... I mean, okay, he was a little drunk and you could say we had a nice first date. But I don't think it will stay that easy, I mean, we can't just make him drunk all the time to stop him from freezing at me, right?"

"Uh, did he do that?"

"A few times, one time when I asked him what he liked to drink and after that I heard Hodgins telling him not to freeze on me or him. And before I was off work, he just stared at me all the time. Even while I sat with them talking, from time to time."

"Oh, poor little Z-man... I fear, he just didn't even think about that something like that could ever happen to him. I don't know if it's good or bad, that the girl I found for him is the same one which makes him lose his nerves so hard."

"The girl you found for him?" Pff. Probably she's right again.

"Of course, I found you, I made you date..."

"Yes, yes, right. Okay. I think it's good somehow, that he fell for me and not for Maria for example, don't you think? It's better the girl you have a crush on is the same one your friends want to match you with, isn't it? Still the same problem." Maria is one of the other waitresses, I would call her a friend of mine. She wouldn't even have had noticed Zack. (no idea if this is right, I just let word do his job)

"Oh, I think I just will come around a few times, with him and Hodgins. We make it more like meeting friends, so he doesn't feel the pressure of 'dating'."

"So he doesn't have to adjust his behavior" I laugh and Angela giggles a little.

"He really said that, right?"

"Yes, he did. But it was sooo cute."

"Oh girl, I got you. I mean, he got you." Again, this knowing grin.

"I wouldn't have kissed him without reason." I smile.

"Probably right. But, I got to go now, I'll let you know, when we're coming around."

"Alright, bye Ang."

I totally forgot to ask about why he looked so desperate for being needed. But how I know Angela, I will have other chances to ask her about that.
