The rest of the day was quite. The next day though is when the madness started. Black Eyes was practicing teleporting short distances. Shatter was practicing regenerating quicker. Everest was punching a punching bag. Jackpot was throwing cards at a target. Lets just say, we may need a new target. Echo was trying to practice control over her sound waves. Everything was perfect. But, all good things must come to an end. Sirens came on in the base. They weren't to loud, but loud enough to hear them. Black Eyes came running into the T.V. room. "Everyone, to the city. Salt Lake City is under attack!"

Who'd want to attack Salt Lake? Salt Lake hasn't done anything bad. The Mormons would never be annoying. The six of us ran to the elevator. When we came out, everyone had their suits on. Everest was a huge turtle and Shatter was complete glass. Black Eyes summoned a black platform that flew us to the city. It looked like a few bombs went off in a couple buildings. People were running in terror. Who had done this? I noticed someone throwing knives at other people. I saw a man with all kind of knives, strapped to his chest. He pulled out the knives he threw at other people and put them back into his strap.

Jackpot came running to him. He threw a card, but only for this strange man to counter it with his throwing knife. They ran to each other. The two of them were fighting as if, with swords. Their blades (or cards) collided with the other's weapon so hard, it caused sparks sometime. This guy round housed Jackpot to the ground. The murder with the knives put him in a head lock, about to stab him. I quickly saved Jackpot by giving the knife man a punch to the face. He fell back a little. He smiled and said, "Where's my manners? The names Mr. Machete. Where's my sister? She may have a little surprise for you" First of all, this guy was killing random people with out reason. I had never killed someone without reason. He has no manners. Second of all, his breath sounded like he had smoked some kinda drug for years. Third of all, who is his "sister?"

Then, I noticed another building blow up. The top half came falling on us. Everest managed to catch the building with his hands and lift it up. No one was crushed and he must have saved a dozen other people that were around me. He held the building, until everyone under there was out of it's kill distance. Jackpot had ran after this, "Mr. Machete" guy. Black Eyes looked at all of us and said, "OK, here's the plan; Army, go into that building and find out who set off that bomb. They may be in the section that hasn't been blown up. Shatter, follow Jackpot. Kill that psychopath. Everyone else, save as many people as possible. Prevent any bombs that could be set off. Go!"

I ran into the other half of the building that almost crushed us. There were still people in there. It wasn't the whole place that got blown up. They were trying to find the door. I pulled out a grenade and threw it at a wall. It made a big enough hole that the rest of the place didn't crumble and everyone could get out. "There's your exit people, go!" A few people said thank you as they walked past me. One woman ran up to me and said, "MY BABY IS UP THERE!!! SOMEONE HAS TO SAVE HER!!!" "Don't worry," I said. "I'll find her!" I found the stairs and ran up them. But suddenly, I noticed a woman with a small knife, holding up a six year-old child to the wall. The six year old, had some kinda birthday crown. This woman had a bomber's jacket, army helmet and a hockey mask. The woman said, "Happy birthday." as she brought the knife slowly to the girl's neck. "NO!" I yelled as I shot the woman's arm. She dropped the little girl and looked at me. She ran up the stairs. I had to follow her.

She was, oh so quick. Once I had gotten to the top of the tower (what was left of it) we were outside. There was no where to run. She looked at me and threw a grenade at me. I caught it and threw it back behind me. I heard the explosion come form the ground below. Then, the woman ran at me with the knife. I jabbed her in the stomach. She must have not felt it. She punched me in the face. I ignored the pain. I kicked her in the leg and heard a snap. She sliced my left arm wide open as she fell to the ground.
