You glanced at your screen, a message from Jungkook flashing on your phone. ''Where are you??'' it says, so you hurriedly grab the sweater nearest you and put it on, worried that you'd be even more late.
He'd been planning 'something special' for you ever since last week, and here you were-- forgetting it like usual.
You were honestly a mess: a bun with strands standing up all over the place, slip-on Converses, and a baggy grey sweater. You could already imagine Jungkook standing in a neat attire, maybe wearing that blue shirt that you gave him just two weeks ago as a gift. You had to make it up to him somehow, you felt absolutely horrible.
His name soon flashed on the screen once more, however this time he was calling you.
Crap.
You quickly hit the green button and ran out of your house, your feet taking you to your destination as fast as they could.
''Jungkook? Yeah?''
''Are you.. Running?'' he said. You slowed your pace as you turned a familiar corner, you were near.
''Of course not,'' you lied, ''I was just..''
You turned another corner.
''Just what?''
Almost there.
''I'm here,'' you said, hanging up.
You were now standing a block across a grinning Jungkook, holding two red balloons-- and of course, wearing the blue shirt you gave him. Your heart sank, and you felt as guilty as ever.

Waiting for the sign for you to walk over to him, you thought of excuses to give him. Should you say your dog Holly was sick? That the dress you were planning to wear today ripped? No matter how much you thought, they all seemed.. Wrong.
You were now on the crosswalk, and you sighed. You would just have to tell him the truth.
''(Y/N)!'' he exclaimed, hugging you.
After letting go, he glanced at your outfit from top to bottom, and a small chuckle escaped his lips. Your eyes widened, and then you began to stare at your shoes. ''Thing is, Jungkook...'' you started.
''You forgot, didn't you?'' he said. You looked up slowly to see that he was still smiling, and you were confused for a second.

''Aren't you mad?'' you said quietly, and he chuckled once more, shaking his head.
''It's okay, you look great.''
