Nathan's POV
"Morning class , we'll be continuing our work on integration . Now if you can remember from the previous lesson we learnt the basic concept of it and today we'll be putting that into practice." The sound of Mr. Davies, my math teacher's voice filled the classroom. He stood in front of the interactive board writing down a little note about the topic we were learning, placing his hands on his hips as he wrote.
I already understood the topic to a certain degree, I did some extra work when he first told us about the topic. So I wouldn't have to struggle in class. I liked doing that for most of my classes anyway. As my teachers voiced filled the barely inattentive class my mind drifted off to the thought of a particular person that I began to take notice of more lately. It's not like I hated math- it was just one of those subjects that I didn't really bother myself too much about because I excelled in it.
The math classes were placed in a building close the sports centre and from my seat, I could get a pretty decent view of the field. I normally sat by the window during math class because sometimes staring in it and watching other students silently interact with themselves or other people seemed to be far more captivating than a typical lesson - today wasn't any different. My body slumped down as I shifted my weight towards the wall. I watched students flutter around the field , dressed in their various sports kit moving all around the massive piece of land.
Five minutes before the class was set to end, something- more like someone caught my full attention on the pitch and from their body movement I could tell that this person knew a lot more about the game. I was suddenly intrigued and wanted to watch the rest of the game play out. As the bell rang , signifying the end of my lesson my body immediately rose and began making my way towards the pitch. Along the way, I bumped into my only best friend that decided to tag along. We weren't missing any classes right now because we both had a free period in this particular time slot.
"Dude, why the hurry to go to the field, is there a fight going on or something?" Noah chimed as he easily matched my fast paced movements.
"Can you just chill till we get there." I scoffed , getting slightly irritated. Not sure why, I mean it's just a regular game why did I suddenly care so much?
Noah's arms rose up in surrender as he got a rather unusual answer, "What's up your ass today jeez." He muttered under his breath and I'm pretty sure he wanted me to hear what he said because as far as subtlety went, Noah was far from it.
"It's just some game I saw outside, no big deal." I sighed, ruffling my hair. I am not meant to be this worked up over some random PE game.
"Hm, clearly it seems like something bigger. So are you going to tell me - you know your best friend." He really dragged on the friend part.
Noah was one of the most extra people I've ever met . I just rolled my eyes and decided to stay quiet till we reached the field.

The game was in full swing by the time we arrived, we took a seat on the bleacher and tried the keep our distance at the same time. We were at the last row, from a distance it would seem like we're just hanging out which we were technically doing.
