Why must my past haunt me?

Kari's head was spinning she felt like throwing up. "Why, why me mim you were the one to cast me out to begin with!" Kari kept shouting out to deaf ears.

======Jacks POV=======

Jack looked at the red head crying out, his eyes filled with sadness but then they hardened. All the guardians knew about Kari and what she had done mim told them. She miss used her powers hurting children and adults, going against what a guardian was supposed to do. Still she was banished and hated for a long time, always the one left out forgotten. His heart ached for he knew that feeling of being forgotten, and misunderstood by others from your actions. Jack was pulled from his thoughts from Kari she had silent tears falling from her eyes as she talked with mim.

=======Within Kari's mind=======

'Kari it's been a while, how has your life been?' Mim sarcastically said.

'Oh you should know you bastard, if only they believed me. If only they knew what you did, what I covered up for you!' Kari screamed out in her head.

'That was a long time ago Kari, can't we just forgive and forget?' Mim stated.

'How can I forgive you for what you've done to me? I am hated by everyone because you told them all to fear me. You also broke my heart all those years ago, why does everyone believe in a lier?' By now Kari was crying and she felt alone and scared.

'I called you here because there is an old enemy that only you, a past guardian knows how to defeat this threat.' Kari rolled her eyes at mums statement.

'Why can't you just come down here, the all and powerful mim.' Kari joked while making grand hand gestures.

Mim chuckled 'Kari you know I cannot leave the moon, and the others have disappeared from our younger days. I need you to help save the world, not just the children."

'Tell me mim who is this enemy that I only know of?' Kari was getting frustrated with mim, he was never one she liked to talk with.

There was a pause 'Death Kari, an old foe. He has teamed up with what the children call the boogie man, this can only end badly. That's why I need you to become a guardian again, I know what happened in the past cannot be changed. I beg of you Kari put your hate aside and save the world from complete darkness.'

Kari looked to the ground in deep thought, with out looking up she says 'I will help, not for your own benefits but for ye innocent people.'

There was a sigh of relief from mim, 'thank you Kari, now I welcome you back guardian Kari the goddess of love.'

'Whatever just never talk to me again after this, I can keep myself sane with out hearing from you.' Kari got up off the ground and left the podium she was on while talking with mim. Looking at her surroundings her fellow guardians, she looks down. "So I guess mim told you about me?"

The red mans eyes hardened but then softened again. "Yes he has told us, but that was the past and you have changed. With your years of expulsion from the community, I believe that you have healed your heart and mind." Kari smiled and looked up at the red man.

"You know your the first person who has ever been nice to me, in what like a thousand years. So thank you for not judging me on my past, because that's what it is the past." She looked around at everyone, "So what's your names?"

They all looked at Kari like she had two heads, who has not heard of the guardians? The red man was the one to step forward first.
