"Good morning sweetie," I rub my eyes to find my mom standing in front of my bed. I look at the clock and it said 8:06 am. I grunt and rolled over. Why is my mom waking me up at 8:00 am on a Saturday? "We're having a family meeting at 8:30, get ready," my mom continued. I grunt again, roll off the side of the bed onto the pillows as my mom leaves the room. I always keep my extra pillows on the floor by my bed while I sleep, so when I wake up I can just roll off the bed. I sit up and just realized what my mom said. A family meeting? We never have family meetings. And why would it be at 8:30 in the morning? My parents know that I always sleep in on Saturday, so why would they have it in the morning?
"Emma!!" I heard my little brother shouting. "What?!" I holler
o back.
"Hurry up, dad has work!"
"Coming." I say a little ornery.
I thought they said the meeting was at 8:30, whatever. I walk down the stairs in my pajamas, no makeup, bed head, and my phone in my hand. I reach the living room finding all of my family members sitting on the couch. They all looked at me as I walked over to them, "What?" I saw my dad looking at my hair, I know it looked bad, but really that bad? My dad has blue eyes just like me and my little brother Jimmy. His hair used to be dark brown, but now it's more silver than brown. Jimmy is 8, he has blond hair and is shorter than all his friends. My older brother is 17. His name is George. He never talks to me, but his hair is also blond and has green eyes from my mother. My mom is one of the most beautiful women I know. She wakes up and is gorgeous, even without her makeup. My brother gets the blond hair from her, but she dyed it light brown. She dyed her hair almost the same color as mine. I don't know why she likes that color so much, especially on me. I wish I got her blond hair, instead it was mixed between my two parents.
"Um, okay let's make this quick." My mother said quickly, "Dad has recently been informed about a new job offer in Florida-"
"What?!" I scream out. I can't move.
"I know, I know, calm down," my mother continued, "Dad has a meeting in 30 minutes to get more details. So far all we know is that it is a really good job offer. We would be living by the beach, and would have more money. Your father would get a huge raise, which would be very helpful in this family. I hope you guys wouldn't mind moving, it would be for the best."
Jimmy raised his hand like he was in class.
"Yes, Jimmy?"
"Can Carter come with us?"
Carter is our pet dog. Him and Jimmy are very close, I am pretty sure Jimmy likes Carter more than his friends.
"Ummm... I'm sorry Jimmy, I don't know for sure."
"What, no!!" Jimmy started crying as my dad started to get up, "I got to go, I love you all, we will talk more at dinner when I get home from work." My dad kissed my mom and hurried out the door.
I went back upstairs and layed on my bed. I can't move. I can't leave Cammy. Cammy has been my best friend ever since preschool. We have never gotten into a fight, the worst thing we ever argued about was who got to sit in the front seat. Cammy is like a sister to me, especially because I don't have a sister. We did everything together. Every Friday we go to the mall and get, our favorite, Auntie Anne's Pretzels. It's our thing, sometimes we even go shopping but I don't have a lot of money. I just don't know what to do, I can't leave Cammy.

BEEP BEEP BEEP
What the heck? I pick up my phone 11:32am. Did I fall asleep? My mom texted me asking what I wanted for lunch. I guess I fell back asleep after that dumb family meeting. Ugh, I really don't want to move. I heard my stomach growl, "Wow, I'm hungry." I said to myself. I texted my mom back and told her I wanted pizza. I got out of bed and put on some leggings and a sweatshirt. It was pretty chilly and I didn't feel like putting on anything uncomfortable. I brushed through my knotted hair and threw it up into a messy bun. I was too lazy to put on makeup so just left my face the way it was. I walked downstairs as I noticed a half eaten box of pizza. I stared at my mom confused.
"um, where did the pizza go?" I asked
"It got here a while ago so I let Jimmy and George eat some."
"Why didn't you tell me it was here?!"
"Emma, calm down. I knew you were getting ready so I didn't want to disturb you."
"Ugh, whatever."
I grabbed a piece of pizza and bit into it. I was already in a bad mood, first my parents told me we might move, and now they ate without me? My family never eats without each other. I can tell today will be a bad day.
After I ate I went back upstairs and cooled off. I over reacted a little bit, but I do that a lot. I went on my phone for a while until I got a text from Cammy. Oh no, how am I supposed to tell her I probably going to move? I opened up the text and she wanted to hangout. I had to blow her off because I can't miss what my dad is going to say about the move.
DING DONG
The doorbell rang, I heard the door open. I look at the time and it was already 6:30. I ran down the hall and saw my dad walking in. I am terrified about what is going to happen. I attempted to run down the stairs, but tripped over my brother's shoe and rolled down the stairs.
"Hey dad," I said when I got to the bottom
"There's my princes!"
He was in a good mood so I know what that meant. We were moving.
"Hey dad, I'm 15, I am not a little girl anymore,"
"I know, but you're still my baby girl." My dad treats me differently than my brothers, probably because I'm the only girl. We walked to the table finding spaghetti on everyone's plate.
"Yum, spaghetti!" my dad says loud enough to make sure my mom hears.
Spaghetti is my dad's favorite dinner, I think it's okay but he loves it. I bet if it was a person he would marry it. Everyone sat down and started digging in, but me. I was waiting for my dad to talk but he wouldn't.
"So dad," I started to say, "Are we moving?"
He swallowed his spaghetti and looked at me, "My boss said that it would be the best opportunity for my job. Us and 4 other families have to be in Florida by November 2nd."
"November 2nd?! That's next month!"
"I know, we have a lot of work to do."
My mom's eyes filled with joy, "We're moving to Orlando!"
