Time has flew by so fast. It is Sunday night. I moved last Thursday, so tomorrow I'm going to a new school. I am terrified. I started to read a book until I dozed off into a deep sleep. I didn't even hear my alarm go off, my mom had to come to the room and shut it off. She told me she was shaking me for 5 minutes but I felt one shake and then I woke up. My mom went back to bed, then I realized. I have to go to school today. I don't want to be the new girl. But I have to look my best because, it's the first day of school. I put on some jeans with a ripped knee and a purple t-shirt. I french braided my hair into a messy bun, then put on my necklace my mom gave for me for my birthday last year. I looked in the mirror, my out fit was cute but I forgot to put on my makeup. I sat back down and decided what to do. I didn't want it to look like I tried too hard, but it couldn't look like I didn't try at all. I put on light foundation, with a little blush, a very light shade of eyeshadow, some mascara, and finally a touch of pink to my lips. "Perfect," I said as I ran down stairs. I grabbed my backpack and a protein bar for breakfast because I didn't have time to eat. "By mom, love you!" I hollered to my mom before leaving. I walked down the street to my bus stop. There was 2 other people at my bus stop, but I didn't talk to them because they looked at me weird. The bus funnily got here and we jumped on. When I got on I realized there were already other people on the bus from a different stop. I didn't want to go back in the bus too far, I don't want people noticing me. I walked for about 3 isles until I found an empty seat, and sat down. I finally put in my earbuds and blasted music for the rest of the bus ride.
About 30 minutes later we got to school. I got off the bus, and took out my earbuds. I looked down in the crowd of kids from the other buses to put my earbuds back in my backpack, but when I looked up I saw a guy. Not just any guy, a guy who was gorgeous. His eyes were a deep light brown, I just stared for what felt like hours. I felt like we were the only two people in the world, until someone bumped into me and I fell.
"AGHHH-" I screamed as I tumbled to the ground.
"Woah there, don't fall." Someone caught me.
"Thanks I-" I look up only to see those deep brown eyes again.
"My name is Darren, and you are?"
I can't believe it! That cute guy caught me!
"Oh, sorry. I'm Emma."
"Well, I'm glad I caught you Emma. I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?"
"Yea, I moved here Thursday."
"Nice-"
BEEEEEEEE-EEE-EEEEEEP
"Oh, that's the bell. I'll catch up to you later." He said as he walked away. Even his walk was perfect.
I went into my first period class, but all I could think of was Darren. I started doodling in my notebook rainbows and hearts, until I realized I was supposed to be taking notes. I looked to the person next to me and almost their entire page is covered to notes, I look back at mine and all the space is covered in rainbows and hearts. I turned to a new page to start copying all the notes before someone noticed but the bell rang and I couldn't be late to my next class. I look at my schedule, second period math. I walked a while until I found the math hall and my classroom. I opened the door, and there he was. Darren was sitting in a desk directly in front of me, I could stare at him all day. There was a middle aged man sitting at the table to the far right who looked at me, "You must be Emma, class this is Emma. She will be joining our class. Please make her feel welcomed." Darren looked up and smiled.
"Looks like you have math with me."
"Yea, looks like it huh."
We were staring into eachother's eyes until the teacher interrupted. "Emma you will be sitting by... hmmmm, let me see"
Darren stood up, "She can sit by me Mr. Puckle. There's an empty seat right here." I felt my face light up. "What an excellent idea young man, Emma you can sit by Darren."
Darren wanted me to sit next to him, this day couldn't get any better.
I sat down next to Darren. Mr. Puckle started talking about math, but Darren didn't even look at him. He just looked at me, we stared into each other's eyes again. They were even more beautiful up close. They had a touch of light brown in the center, I don't know what it is about his eyes, but I just get lost into them every time I look.
