It's Friday and I still haven't told Cammy I'm moving. I just don't know how to bring it up. I haven't been focused on anything lately because moving is the only thing on my mind.
DING
I shot out of my seat. I look up and the bell rang. I totally forgot I was in class, school was finally out. I headed for the bus.
"Hey! Emma!!"
I turn around to see Cammy walking towards me.
"Where are you going?" She asked confused.
"Home..." Where else would I be going?
"But it's Friday!"
"And..."
"On Fridays we go to the mall..."
Oh shoot! I forgot, how did I forget? I never forget stuff like this. I hopped into Cammy's car, as her mom drove us to the mall.
"Thanks mom," Cammy said as we jumped out.
We got our pretzels and sat down.
"Okay, what's going on?" Cammy asked sternly.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you have been acting different lately. And you forgot about the mall. What's up with that? We always look forward to Fridays. What's going on?"
I looked into her eyes. I didn't know how to say it. My eyes started watering, so I looked back down.
"I-" I started to say
"You can tell me you know. We're best friends."
"I- I - I'm I'm.."
"You're..?"
I looked down and whispered, "Moving."
I know she heard me, but I couldn't look up.
"Moving?" Cammy said sadly.
"Yea, next month we're moving to Florida. Orlando, Florida."
"Oh,"
I looked at Cammy, her hands were shaking.
"Are you okay?" I ask quickly.
Cammy was breathing heavily and she started mumbling. I looked at her, but she wouldn't look at me. Then, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fell to the ground.
"Cammy!!" I screamed on the top of my lungs. Everyone stopped talking and looked at me, I was already about to cry from telling her I was moving, but now I am crying. Three strangers ran over to me, "What happened?!" one of them asked. I was staring at the strangers but I couldn't talk. I felt my throat swell up and I felt dizzy. I couldn't see what was happening, everything was blurry. I heard faint voices.
What happened?
Is she okay?
Hello?BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
I woke to the sound of my phone ringing. I went to grab it. But a hand stopped me.
"Lay down," the voice of a women said.
I laid down but then looked around the room. This wasn't my room. Where am I?
I looked to see if there was anyone else here, and Cammy was on the bed right next to me. "Cammy?" I say started.
"Shhhh," the woman said. I looked for the woman but I couldn't find her. What am I doing here? What is Cammy doing here?
I was just laying down for a few more minutes looking at the bright blue ceiling, until I heard a scream. I shoot
up and turn to my left and Cammy was screaming. The woman runs over to her and shoves a needle into her arm, and she falls back asleep.
"Hey!" I yell at the woman, "Why did you shove a needle into her?!"
She looked at me like I was crazy, "Because I needed too," she turned around and started to grab something, "And once I'm done with you, you won't remember a thing."
She turned back around with another needle.
"Agh!" I scream and jump off the bed, she barely missed my arm with her giant needle. I look for the door, but I couldn't find it. What is this place? What place doesn't have a door?
"Who the heck are you?!" I scream back at the lady.
"My name is Agatha, but you won't remember that." I felt a sharp pain go into my arm, then everything went black."Ouch!" I felt someone poking my arm, and it hurt. I sit up and found Jimmy standing there.
"Where were you?" Jimmy asked.
"What? When?" I said back.
"Last night, you weren't here."
"What day was yesterday?"
"Friday..."
"Oh, ya. Where I always am on Fridays, at the mall with Cammy." For some reason I couldn't remember what happened after we got the pretzels, all I remember is telling Cammy we were moving.
"It's Saturday now. You weren't home last night." Jimmy said curiously.
"I wasn't?" Now I'm even more confused.
"No, you weren't. Mom was scared. How did you get here?"
"I- I-" I started to say but couldn't remember a thing, "I don't remember."
"How do you not remember?"
"I- I don't know."
Jimmy ran down the hall and told mom I was home. That was weird. How did I forget everything that happened last night? I know I have a bad memory, but not that bad. I got up out of bed and got dressed. I put on some jeans with a hole on each knee. I looked through all of my t-shirts but couldn't find a cute one, so I dug through my dirty clothes hamper. I found a decent shirt, it didn't look too dirty so I put it on. I went into my bathroom, and put on some makeup. Foundation, mascara, lip gloss, and a little bit of concealer. My hair was a rat's nest, so I brushed through it and french braided it until I heard my mom yelling.
"Emma!!" she yelled.
"What?!"
"Come down stairs,"
"Why?"
"Time to pack!!"
Time to pack? For what? I ran downstairs and found Jimmy, George, and my mom putting kitchen utensils in a box.
"Oh," I realize, "We're packing to move?"
"Yep, start helping" my mother says. After 4 long hours of packing, we finally finished everything in the kitchen. Now we have to use paper plates and plastic forks to eat. Jimmy was complaining the entire time about how hungry he was, so my mom finally gave in and is taking us out for burgers. I could eat burgers all day, they're the best. I don't think George likes them as much because every time he only eats half, but gobbles up all the french fries.

BEEP BEEP BEEP
I throw my alarm clock across the room and roll off my bed. I hate Mondays. I put on some clothes, then went down stairs for breakfast. There was a pile of pancakes sitting on a plate on the counter, but no one was down stairs. I ate two pancakes, then went back upstairs to find everyone. My mom was in her room, "Mom?"
"Good morning, Emma!" She said excitingly.
"What are you doing?"
"Packing,"
"Already?"
"Yea, oh by the way you aren't going to school this week or next."
"What? Why not?"
"Because we're moving in two weeks! We need to pack,"
I grunt and go back to my room. Well I guess I won't be seeing Cammy for a while. I grabbed my phone and texted her.
EMMA: "Hey Cammy. I won't be going to school today, or for the rest of the next 2 week. Sorry, but I think we might be able to still hang out Friday <3"
She didn't respond for 15 minutes, so I started to worry until I heard a buzz.
CAMMY: "Hey Emma, why aren't you coming to school? :("
EMMA: "Because my mom wanted us to pack, we're moving in 2 weeks! I'm not going back to school until I get to Orlando."
CAMMY: "Oh, that sucks. I'm really going to miss you."
EMMA: "I will miss you too. Ugh, I don't want to leave you."
We texted until 8:45 because she had to go to school. I sat in bed for almost an hour on my phone doing nothing. Whenever I'm on my phone, I text Cammy. But now I can't because she's in school. I don't know what to do.
"Emma!!" My mom hollered.
"What?!" I yell back.
"Come down stairs, we're packing!"
I sigh and roll off my bed onto the pillows. As I walked downstairs I realized my arm was hurting, why was it hurting? I looked at it, and there was a little hole. Almost like I got a shot, but it was also bruised. What did I do to it? That's so weird. When I got downstairs, Jimmy and my mom we're packing up the living room.
"Where is George?" I asked.
"He left for school before I could tell him not to." She replied.
"Oh,"
We packed up the living room until George got home. I hate packing all of this up, we haven't even finished the living room yet.
"What are you all doing here? Shouldn't you be at school?" George wonders
"You weren't supposed to go to school today, Georgey," Jimmy says happily, "We get to spend everyday together now!"
My mom looked a little worried about George's response but he just walked away.
After a while my mom finally let me go up to my room and I facetimed Cammy. I asked her what she did at school, and she said she hung out with a girl named Abigail. Abigail is nice, I think. I have never really talked to her. Her eyes are a light brown, with a tiny bit of green. She has brown hair and dyed the ends purple. She always wears black clothes, so Cammy and I never really talked to her. Almost everyday she wears dark lipstick. Cammy and I always talked about how scary she is, I wonder why all of a sudden they're hanging out.
