Ali passed away when he was 20. He had an acute case of diabetes. He was losing weight in front of my eyes but I did not care to ask ,getting *lighter than air, metaphorically speaking.* He died because of kidney failure.
He was not at my marriage, not there when I had jr. Ali but whenever I played the story in my head, he was always there but did not say a word, not a single dialogue, he was just there silent.
The truth was that Ali lied about himself when he told me the story. He said he'll be there but he fucking WAS NOT AND THAT WAS THE TRUTH.
I walked up to Ayesha's grave first. She passed away two years ago. Cancer. She lived her life to the fullest though. I placed a white rose on her grave and then,
I walked up to his grave and placed a white rose on it too.
'You fucking liar. You told me about everything before leaving.'
THE TRUTH
Yes, you died when you were 20.
We were all gonna meet up, 'US', that day. We got winter break from our universities and we all planned to meet up at Gloria. All came, including Maham, your love, except for you that night. You had not been feeling well for a while now yet you refused to go to the doctor. Everyone inquired me about you, I said he was sick, didn't know you were gonna die bitch.
Tears came up in my eyes as I remembered your goofy face.
We were all having fun and out of nowhere I got a call, it was your dad.
He asked me to rush to the hospital. I had a feeling it was you. I along with Maham, Maha, Usama and Ayesha got on Usama's jeep and drove to the hospital. We all ran and just as we were entering the ICU, your parents came out. Your father hugged me and started crying.
'He's gone, my son's gone. We did not even know he was suffering so much.'
I was stunned and everything seemed a lie to me. Something inside of us all broke that night. Yes, it was 2nd December the same night another Ali was born.
Ali, you were my hope, you laughed everything off. You did not even drop a clue about it. You were so carefree, no worries.
I couldn't make sense of it all. I lost someone who was a part of me, my secret holder, he knew me better than anyone. I LOST A LITTLE BROTHER. YES, LIFE CAN BE UNFAIR AND IT IS. NO MATTER HOW HARD IT IS , WE MUST ACCEPT IT.
Your family soon came and everything just was moving along with the flow.
After your funeral, everyone left after burying you except for me. I stayed there and kept talking right at this very spot. I was not expecting an answer this time, Ali. You went so far away, just like that.
Maham was torn. It was never easy for her to move on you know, she still visited you. She was late on my bachelor's party because she was visiting you. She kept reminding us to meet you frequently. I and Usama took a detour to meet you, visit your grave, after the party. I along with Maha and my family came to meet you after the marriage.
Maha knew no one could fill the hole you left in my heart. She too missed you. YOU WERE OUR HOPE.
When the hard times came, she, Maha said she misses you, you know, if you were there for me it wouldn't have been so hard. But sadly, you existed only in my head. You really were gone!
You liar. We all miss you so much. We all love you so much.
I came here today to ask you,
Why did you break your promise? You said you'll be there for me everytime. Were you? Do you love us? Were you there for us? Do you miss us? ANSWER ME!
Tip , tip , tip it started raining.
Not a very heavy shower. The rain felt nice. It made me feel warm somehow. After the rain stopped, I got my answer.
'Thank you,Ali, I love you.' I said, as I watched the beautiful bright rainbow glowing up in the sky. Thank you.

Thank you if you made it this faaaar. Honestly, I wanted this to be saved forever. Wattpad became my saviour. :D
