Chapter 18

Angioletta

After we had eaten and cleaned up the kitchen Alexander and I went to his livingroom/gameroom.
   In that room there was wide TV, three diffirent gameconsols, shelves full of books, games, CDs and dvds, big L-shaped couch and three maching armchairs. We sat down on the L-shaped couche and started watching some comedyserie.
   I was do interested in the movie that I nearly didn't hear the doorbell ringing. Alexander tensed when he heard the doorbell. Oh, something is up.
  " I'm gonna check and see who it is," Alexander said standing up. I waited till he had left the room and I couldn't hear his footstepps anymore, then I shut down the TV and listened.
   I could hear Alexander talking to someone. I didn't know who, but he seemed anoyed. They talked for a bit, Alexander sounding all the time like he would rather be anywhere ellse, and then he closed the door.
   When I didn't hear him coming up right away, I walked to the window and looked to the frontyard. From that window I could see a woman getting into a car and driving off. Who was she?
Then I quickly sat back down, and kept on watching the TV. Alexander came back few minutes later :" Sorry, it was nothing important."
I let his words sink in then I turned to look at him:" Alexander, I know your lying. Who was she?"
He looked at me," She was - She was one of my past 'flings'. But you have nothing to worry about. I told her I found my mate and that I am happy with her."
You nodd your head and turn to look at the TV. After a while Alexander asks:" Are you OK with that?"
You paused the movie and looked at him:" I am going to be honest. I'm not fine with the fact that you have had many exlovers, but I turst you. So, I'm fine with you talking or being friends with your exlovers, but only as long as it doesen't turn into anything else," Alexander listened to me carefully," And if it somehow does... then we will have to talk. But thats it."
   He seemed bit amazed by my little speech:" Could you really be that calm if I cheated on you."
" No, I couldn't. I would try, but most likely I couldn't."
I turn back towards the TV, but I can see Alexander smyrking from the corner of my eye while he wraps his arm around me. I cuddle against him, and we sit like that for along time.
 
  When the movie ends it's two a clock :" Are you hungry?" I ask from Alexander. He nodds so I get up and walk to kitchen, where I start prepearing food for him, and me.
I make chicken and pasta.
   " Mmm... that smells good," Alexander comes in and smiless:" I didn't know you could cook."
" I can cook simple things, but I'm not espacialy good at it."
Alexander set the table and I served the food. He took bite of it and moaned. I swear, he actually moaned.
" Wow, I haven't eaten anything this good since I got my own house."
I just smiled and started eating. I knew that I didn't need to eat, but I didn't want to make Alexander suspicious.
   Plus, I cook so rarely that I want eat it too.
  When it had been silent for a while I decided to ask Alexander:" So, do you have any more siblings?"
   He stopped eating for a while:" I have two siblings. My sister you already met, she lives in the pack. And then I have big brother. He is thirty, and has his own pack."
" But he is your older brother so..."
" ... So shoudn't he have inherited the pack?" He finished my sentence," Yes, but his mate was other packs alphas daughter, and only child. So, he decided that he would go to his mates pack and I would get our parents pack." I nodded.
" What about yours?" Alexander asked.
" My family?"  " Yes."
- What do I say?!
" Well, you met my brother. And I have no other siblings," Alexander seemed to be listening very carefully: " My parents don't live around here. They rarely contact me, and usually it's my mom. My dad likes to keep himself distant from us for some reason," I looked at my food because all that I said was actually true, if you forget that I dont have a brother. It was hard to talk about it: " He usually works and I haven't seen or spoken to him in long time. I know that he loves me, but sometime I just start thinking and then I'm not so sure anymore."
   I didn't know that I was crying untill tears started to fall down. Alexander quickly came to my side, and embrazed me. I burried my head into his shirt and cried.
   Why am I letting myself show such a weakness?
- Get your shit together! Stop crying!
" It's alright. I am sure he loves you," Alexander whispers to my ear, while he hugs me and caresses my hair.
Then he lifts my chin and wipes away rest of my tears with his thumb. My crying turns into quiet hicks.
"I-I'm sorry," I wipe my eyes with my sleeve," Huh... Wow- I totally ruined the mood. Hah, didn't I."
" Well, no. It's Ok. Lets just finish eating and then we can go to our bedroom and cuddle."
   We ate the rest of our food in comfortable silence.
