"hyeri-ah!" mark burst with excitement.

classes have ended and mark planned to go home with hyeri for the day. he's informed his friends about it during their last lesson and they were fine with it although they still told him to watch out and take care.

"why are you waiting outside my class?" hyeri asked, noticing mark who was standing outside her classroom door.

mark grinned. "how was school today?"

"great! like, i totally didn't get scolded for not doing homework!" she made a thumbs up exaggeratedly.

"ah," he looked down, then looked back up again. "if you need help you can ask me, okay?"

hyeri smiled. "sure."

"and, you haven't answered my question," she playfully glowered.

he chuckled, "okay, okay. do you want to go home together?"

"you're not going with your friends?" she asked, surprised.

"nope." mark replied. "so, let's go."

side by side, they started walking out of the school vicinity. students around looked at them confused and astonished. passing by the school gate, hyeri started the conversation. "have you talked to min soojin recently?"

puzzled, he uttered, "no, why?"

hyeri continued. "apparently, in class today, she started sobbing halfway through the lesson." she muffled, "who does that?"

mark, not caring about her unnecessary comment, queried, "why did she cry?"

she snickered, "all the rumors, i guess."

mark had a sullen look all the way home thinking about his admirer, min soojin.
