"you caught her off guard," jeno explained to the anxious mark.
"or maybe she just doesn't like you and you made it more awkward for her to tell you she doesn't wanna be friends," donghyuck shrugged.
"or maybe she likes you too!" jaemin exclaimed.
mark shook his head. "i don't even understand the face she gave me when i confessed." he placed his head on his table and wailed.
the three boys looked at one another, thinking of how to help their eldest.
jeno awkwardly patted mark's back to calm him down and cheer him up, though he probably failed.
"why don't you ask her yourself?" jaemin suggested.
mark looked up, facing the youngest. "what do i ask?"
before jaemin could reply, donghyuck interrupted, "ah, just give up! seriously, why do you like a killer?"
mark looked upset after the remark and placed his head on the table once again. jeno rolled his eyes, "she's not."
"how are you sure? you didn't ask her yourself, did you?"
jaemin changed the subject back to their previous one. he patted the eldest's back. "ask her if she likes you too."
