It was the day of the boys' big homecoming game, and everyone was excited. Soccer was a big sport for this school, and any reason for the school to get hyped and dress up was also exciting.

I entered the school, decked out in my boyfriend's royal blue and gold soccer jersey, black jeans, and matching blue converse. I decided to let Ellie paint my face during homeroom since she was actually excited for a game.

There was something about wearing the boys' jerseys which just made this day more desirable. Ever since she got one of Connor's friends to ask her to wear their jersey, she's been more into this than I have.

Walking into class, I walked up to Mr. Porter's desk, where he was sitting in his all blue suit. Looking mighty fine, might I add.

"Hey, Mr. Porter. Since it's the start of homecoming, would you be so kind and let us switch to our old seats? I promise, we won't start anything."

Mr. Porter glanced up from his plans, with a small smirk on his face after seeing my painted face.

"I guess, since I'm your favorite teacher, I can make that exception for you. Keep Connor in check this time, will you?"

I nodded my head, smiling gratefully. "Will do, sir."

I walked over and sat in my original seat. Connor came in shortly after, confused at first but accepting of the change.

"How'd you do this?"

I shrugged, "I'm his favorite?"

Connor chuckled, "Sure, whatever babe. I like your face."

I turned to see Connor place his bag down under the desk then lean closer to me.

"Thanks, Ellie painted it this morning."

With a small smirk, Connor left a gentle kiss against my lips for a split second.

"No, I mean I like what's under the paint."

I rolled my eyes, pulling out our book that we are reading during class. Connor copied my actions as Mr. Porter actually began class on time, assigning people to read.

Connor left his arm around the back of my chair, but left the flirty actions to a minimum for once. I was surprised, but not much considering his mind was most likely focused on soccer.

After English was done, Connor and I headed to my locker where we ran into Ellie and Elijah.

Connor and Elijah did their bro-handshake thing, while Ellie and I just said 'hi' like normal humans. Connor stood slightly behind me, casually reaching into my locker and grabbing some gum. Elijah and Ellie stood by her locker.

"Did y'all hear about the assembly today? I hear it's going to be full of surprises. What do you think that means?"

Connor shrugged at Elijah's questions. "For all we know, it could be some lame attempts at being cute and asking someone to homecoming."

We all laughed, moving onto more conversation. "Are you boys ready for the big game, tonight?"

The boys both started cheering and getting pumped. Connor high-fived Elijah as Ellie and I shut our lockers. We all started heading in the direction to our next classes which meant Ellie and I headed the opposite way of the whooping boys.

"Where's Derek, I figured you'd be with him all today?"

She shrugged, not really caring. "I think he got scared when I forced him to give me his jersey."

I couldn't help but laugh at her, which just made her irritated and try to prove her point of how she asked all the boys and he was the only one that she knew didn't give up his other jersey yet.
