Lena wakes to the noise of her alarm clock going off signaling the start of a new day. Also the start of her second day at school. She rolled over pulling the blankets up higher. Her mom calls from downstairs telling her to wake up. The clang of the door shutting and the chirps of the bird soothe Lena before she gets up and faces today. Pulling on jeans, sneakers and a chiffon shirt.

Lena pulls her hair into a side braid and throw on her brown jacket.

She sits down on her bed and ties her sneakers then goes down stairs for some breakfast. Checking the clock she gets her backpack and starts down the driveway onto the sidewalk to her bus stop. She gets to the bus stop and waits for a few minutes before the bus skids to a stop in front of her. She gets on and slinks into the third seat of the bus on the right side. Sit at the right, go to the right and stay right whatever could go wrong that was Lena's mantra. But as always everything follows. The kids start snickering and pointing at Lena. One yells out "ENJOYED YOUR LUNCH YESTERDAY?! Must have been sad not to eat your lunch poor girl!!" Lena puts on her headphones blocking out the laughter. Finally the bus got to school and Lena got out. Making her way to the school door was a adventure on its own; people blocked and jostled her. Someone pushed her hard enough to knock her book out of her hands and onto the ground. She bends to pick it up but someone is quicker then her and gets it. Lena straightens ready to get her book back with some harsh words. But the words die as she see it's Will who picked it up. She fumbles on her words, blinking fast. Will gives her a smile " Here you dropped this." He gives the book back to her. Lena takes the book and stumbles on her thanks. "T-t-t-thank you." Will shoots another smile and walks off. Lena stands there for a minute happy but that's quickly squashed as Lisa comes up to Will and hugs him. Back to reality he has Lisa and would never notice me Lena thought walking into school. Waiting at her locker her two best friends Abby and Brooke. Lena ran to them and said with raising her hands to the air "Bonzia!!" The two jumped up and hugged me. "Ooh how are you doing? Do you think you can make it?" Asks Abby with worry. Lena smiles at her sweet Abby always worrying about us, now Brooke on the other hand... "Give it a rest. Lena is no baby." Brooke is now looking into her compact mirror fixing her makeup. Giving them both a squeeze Lena answers "I'm okay. Let's get to class." Saying their goodbyes they went there separate ways. As usual Lena goes to math with Kitty staring glares at her. She sits down and sees that the desk next her is still empty. Someone opens the door and comes in but Lena is busy getting her stuff. There was a plop sound next to her and when she looks to the empty seat now taken by Will. He looks over and smiles " Hey desk buddy." Lena eyes goes wide. While behind her Kitty frowns. "Yeah um take care of me." He turns his attention back to the board and so does Lena with a big goofy smile on her face. The day couldn't have went any better.
