The Forgotten Land

Finding the Hole.

*Aidens POV*

My mum and i was walking in the countryside on a bright summers day just like 10 years ago when a little girl went missing. Many say that she went missing in this location giving me sinister and dark thoughts. Mum on the other hand was cool and relaxed and seemed to be enjoying the walk. My mum loved walks and the outdoors and always bossing me to go outside and i was getting very irritated by it. There is this game called undertale based on this real life theory and so me and my mum when on adventure to see if the monsters are real.

The trees stood tall and proud like guards at a castle and led into a creepy looking cavern I managed to see a hole 2 metres by 2 metres in the cave. There seemed to be smoke or some sort of gas coming from the hole. 'Mommy can we go t..to the hole' I said in a shy voice.
'No we can't Aiden it out of bounds you see' Pointing at a white and shiny sign saying 'out of bounds no visitors allowed past this point'. I be came sad and disappointed but I felt a strange force coming from the hole and determination ran through me like a ghost. I suddenly saw a vine move in the corner of my eye and got the feeling that someone, something was watching me. I surprisingly felt angry instead of scared as I was always timid and a scardy-cat. I then realized that the sign seemed to been put up very resent. My mum was meters in front of me and started to shout me so I ran before my mum became inpatient and she becomes very angry when here walks are interrupted.

I stopped 5 feet away from my mum until I heard a faint rustle in the trees. I think mum did as she was looking around and seemed to be paranoid. It must have been 20 seconds before my mum turned around to me and said ' let's go honey' in a scared voice and for once I agreed.

Surprisingly, it took us 5 minutes just to get out of the forest and yet it took 3 minutes to get to the spot and mum said it was the exact path we took and I swear I saw a bright yellow flower wink at me. It might have been the fatigue talking but it looked very suspicious. After we got out of there, we needed to find a aqua blue, modernized house. It had a big garden on the back and has a massive garage with a ford fiesta in it. My dad used to do great things in there like make a water filter and built my little motor bike.

We managed to get into the house just before there was a thunderstorms, I ran up to my room and played with my figures and watched TV before mum shouted 'Aiden get down here, tea is ready' in a calm and subtle voice. During tea the thunderstorm was all that was heard and the TV was on max volume. It didn't occur to me that there was a new yellow flower on the windowsill, just like the one what winked at me in the forest. I suddenly felt the same force as in the forest and said 'mom when did you get that flower' in a shy voice.
'Hmm, I didn't buy a new flower but its pretty.' Mum said.
'It looks kind of suspicious if you ask me' I said in a Stern voice.
I was waiting for a response but all I got was "Aiden its your bed time." mum said and so I went straight into my room and went into bed.

It was about midnight when I woke up from my sleep. I then remembered the hole and I suddenly had the urge to go to it for unknown reasons. It might have been the childish behavior I have, after all I am a 8 years old kid. I swiftly leaped out of my bed an put on my clothes what was laying on the bottom of my bed. I then left the room and and creeped downstairs in which I was met with a shadowy,dark and evil room. It sent a cold shiver up my spine and made goosebumps on my arms. I suddenly felt Determination and then rushed through the cold air filling the area. I was able to reach the back door of the house without a single noise from me or my feet giving me the idea of becoming a sneaky ninja.

I opened the white and freezing door and I then faced a whole city full of darkness. Fortunately, I was able to see as the street lamps were leading the way and  revealed a hole in a bush that created a shortcut for me to reach the mysterious and intrreaging hole. I took the shortcut and ran towards a glowing sigh. It eventually revealed writing saying "no one pass this point". I  was also able to see a the cavern and behind a cloud of smoke I saw a great big hole.
