I boarded the Hogwarts Express with nothing but Peter and my dad on my mind. People gave me dirty looks as I looked for a compartment. People looked frightened at the look of me. After all, my father did just escape Azkaban because he murdered people and was the first person to escape. They have every reason to be scared of me.
I looked into a compartment and saw Draco Malfoy. I glared at him then walked away. I found an empty compartment and it remained occupied by me until it was empty when the train reached Hogwarts. But that wasn't all.
About half way into the train ride, it stopped. I started feeling sad and depressed. Dementors.
I saw the black figure standing in the door way of my compartment.
"If you're looking for my dad, he's not here. Expecto Patronum!" I said then a silver dog bursts out of my wand and the dementor was gone. No one saw me cast the spell but the ministry couldn't expel me because I was on my way to Hogwarts.
Other than the dementor, I was alone in the compartment until the train reached Hogwarts when it was completely empty.
I saw Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger get off the train. Along with Scabbers. Scabbers, who is also Peter Pettigrew.
Harry looked like he had fainted. Eventually the story reached me and it turns out that he actually did faint from the dementors.
I stayed behind and waiting until everyone was off the train. I don't like people and crouds. I also have a habit of punching people.
But among the stupents, a man got off the train. He looked one way then looked at me. He smiled. I did too. I walked over to him and hugged him.
"Remus! What are you doing here?" I said, smiling to him.
He looked down at me, smiling, "I'm the new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher."
I smiled at him. Then my stomach dropped. My face got red.
"What about..." I dropped my voice to a whisper, "....what about your...condition?" I said nervously.
"Don't you worry about that. Dumbledore has that under control," Remus said seriously.
I walked inside of Hogwarts with him. He had to go up to the teacher's table, though, while I was stuck at the Gryffindor table. I was 100% Gryffindor; brave, loyal, and adventurous.
Dumbledore only talked to us about the normal things. But then he mention the dementors....and my dad.
1/4 of the room looked at me,(mainly the Gryffindors.) 1/4 of the room looked at Dumbledore. The other 2/4 look towards the Gryffindor table.
"Ya, because I want to murder all of you," I mumbled.
Ginny Weasley was sitting next to me and patted me on the back. Hermione was sitting near us and looked over at me. She smiled sorrowly.
That was the beginning of my year. And it only got worse. Well, not exactly.
