A/N you wanted more, you get more! though I should really start making a plan and stop planning everything in my head... not like it would stop me. anyway, here's the next chapter and since this is a reader insert, cases will not happen every chapter. enjoy~
You whimpered as you snuggled under the covers, blocking out any light; which wasn't much, from view. Your head was pounding despite only having three drinks. Groaning, you shakily got up, holding onto the side of the king size bed until your eyes focused. It wasn't your room, it was Sephiroth's.
It wasn't the first time you woke up in his room with a hangover, the only other time you've ever woke up there was when you both had to work late and neither of you wanted to stay overnight at the office. Thankfully, Sephiroth was kind enough to let you sleep in his bed when you had both become good friends. Not like he let you have it to yourself; no, you did have to share with him.
Shaking your head but stopping due to the banging, you made your way over to the door and left the bedroom. Outside, your boss was sat reading the paper with a cup of coffee, his hair was tied back in a messy, high pony tail and he wore semi rimmed half moon reading glasses. He didn't wear them often, only when he couldn't focus. Seems he had a slight hangover too.
''Morning [name],'' he said without looking up.
''Morning, you got any ibuprofen?'' you yawned and held your head.
''Right there,'' Sephiroth flicked his hand to the glass coffee table in front where a glass of water and two tablets lay.
''Thanks.''
You took a seat next to the man on the black leather couch, gulping down the water with the tablets as you rested your head in your hand. It felt like someone had just banged a gong in your head. You whimpered as Sephiroth chuckled, you glared but quickly stopped. Thankfully, he stayed quiet as he read.
It was about an hour later when your hangover decided to calm down and let you do things without the repeating banging. Your mentor let you take a quick shower and borrow one of his shirts that literally buried you until your clothes had been cleaned. It was an odd relationship you had with him, but the same thing happened if he ended up at your apartment.
''When your clothes are done, we'll go to that café before the office. Got it?''
''Seriously? You've got a stocked cupboard, why don't I make something? And your not gonna find horror movies this early in the morning,'' you sighed as your mentor kept his eyes on the screen.
''Yeah, sure, whatever,'' he waved as he kept on flicking through the channels.
You rolled your eyes and got to work; you really wondered how he'd survived all this time. He could cook a little, if you count microwave meals, the rest was left to question. You quickly got the hobs going and peeled a few potatoes to make hash browns. You also pulled out the toaster once the hash's were cooking.
You slipped in 4 slices of bread and pulled out the butter, bacon and sausages; a fry up was always the best for when you suffered a hangover. You quickly got them cooking before cracking the eggs and adding them. Once done you got a pan and cooked the beans; all the while just waiting for that one comment.
''You look like a housewife.''
You turned and gave him a bland look, ''That would make you my son who can't look after himself.''
''I'm glad your not my wife.''
''Why?''
''You'd poison me, I'm sure of it,'' he grimaced slightly.
''No, I don't think I would,'' you mused.
''Oh, how would you kill me?'' he smirked, somehow these conversations was something you often engaged in.
