The next day Lucy woke up happy when she realised she was getting picked up by Oscar. They'd never discussed a certain time, so Lucy made sure she was ready and out the door by the same time she had been yesterday.

Five minuets passed, he hadn't came. Then ten... then fifteen...

When twenty minuets came, Lucy had became restless.

Maybe he was just running late. She'd be late if he didn't show up soon.

After half a hour, tears filled Lucy's eyes once again as she realised she'd been stood up. School was starting and Oscar was no where to be seen. But she couldn't blame him. Why would someone like Oscar want to hang around with her after the video he saw.

Many would say that Lucy was worrying too much about that video but Calum had made it out different than it actually was—the way he had explained had made her look... easy, sleazy and desperate.
She couldn't even beg her parents to give her a lift—Jacob and Rachel were at Sweettooth.

And not to mention she like milkshake all over him. No, Lucy though, she couldn't blame him at all. Just because Oscar had sort-of-nearly defended her the other day didn't mean anything.

Lucy checked the time on her phone.

8:40 a.m.

A bus would come soon. Lucy trudged to the bus stop feeling embarrassed and humiliated.

"I can't believe you didn't tell me sooner!" Ellie exclaimed, adjusting her brown hear which was cut just above her shoulders. She took out a lipgloss and covered her lips in the pink sparkly liquid. Once she had done all that—which was faster than one would think—she went on to give Lucy an accusing look.

Lucy sighed. "It happened yesterday." She says for the third time.

Ellie raises her eyebrows. "Young lady, do you do so you not own a telephone? You know, the devices you use to call and text!"

She rolled her eyes. "Yes, mum."

"Don't you love me?"

"Of coarse I do!"

"Then next time tell me as soon as it happens! I don't care if you send it to me the old fashion way—by a letter—sent by a seagull!"

Despite Ellie's words, she would mind if she sent it by a seagull, Lucy thought. She hated birds and anything else that flied.

"Lessons will be starting any minuet now. We should go." Lucy said to Ellie, who was now wiping pink gloss from her teeth.

Lucy had been at least twenty minuets late to her first lesson—she was too mortified to check.
