Lies - Marina & The Diamonds

THIS FIRST PART IS NOT IN THE VIDEO!

My lights turn on as my eyes are closed. I growl loudly, covering my head with the pillow. I was deprived of sleep and I sure as hell didn't want to wake up.

"Go the hell away, I'm tired." I groan, waving my arm to whoever was there. I was in no mood nor in anyyy mental state to get.

"Get your ass up, Lily." My body instantly pops up, to see Charlie standing at my doorway. He's wearing a white hoodie, ripped dark blue jeans and converse. His hair looks styled and swooping over his forehead. I instantly hop off of the side of my bed and stand there, staring at him. He smirks at me now, leaning at my doorway.

"I need you down stairs, get ready in 10 minutes." He steps away and I hear his hollow footsteps down the staircase farther away. I start to rummage through my drawers as I find a plain white t-shirt. I slip it on and grab a pair of ripped light blue jeans with a pair of furry boots. I finally put on a pair of glasses that were on the counter, and pull my hair up into a bun. I step out of my room and see the maids with towers of clothing, dishes, the works you could see. Some stared at me as I stepped down the corridor and onto the steps. I meet Charlie, who is focused on his phone while Herold is staring at all of the maids hurrying around throughout the manor. I stop in front of Charlie, I cross my arms with a grunt on my face. I was not in a pleasant mood, from the past day that I was having I was certainly not ready to get out of a comfy bed for someone I did not wish to see.

"Why the hell did you wake me up, it's only 2 in the afternoon." I groan, as Charlie looks up at me now with a smile on his face. Did he ever not smile at me? His smile was now irritating to me, and I didn't want to be here at all. He chuckles lightly, and Herold was looking at me now.

"Well, your pretty ass and me have another mission." He states, looking at me up and down whilst doing so. I felt uncomfortable as he stared at me, I wasn't wearing anything provocative, so I wouldn't know why he would stare me up and down.

"How much dough we talkin' here?" I ask, the smirk filling his face as my question is asked. I felt like I was getting into the rush, but I didn't want to admit it. I was bipolar, so I felt like one minute that I was having the worst days I had imagined, and the next minutes I was feeling like I was on the top of the world.

"Sir says mostly to 600k. Depending who our mortal target is." We both look at Herold who explains, giving me information I would have loved to hear. 600 thousand sounded like a lot of cash, which made me excited inside. I just nod towards him. Charlie then looks back at me and says,

"So you need to keep your chill on this mission." He points his finger at me, like scolding a child. I scoff. I wasn't a child, and I certainly didn't ask like one. He was the chile here, I should be telling him what to do in all honesty. I step closer, coming nose to nose with him.

"Don't even try to treat me like a child, I got this." I state, then stepping away from hi. I feel asl though I proved my point when I try to be the boss. I may not seem like someone who can be mean or insensitive, but I try to come across that way. Most of the time it really works, but some people see through my mask. He huffs at me,

"Good, I don't want to have to babysit you."

"Warm up the limo, we're going to a special salon." He is talking to Herold now, who looks interested in everything that comes out of Charlie's mouth. Herold clears his throat, as I stare in awe.

"Yes Sir, right away." He bows towards Charlie. What was it about his butler, or companion that intrigued me? He was so smooth looking, collected and nothing phased him. He didn't even seem human, so what was it about him that made me want to ask him questions. He scared me in a way, but in a way I wanted to explore his mind, and the thoughts that hovered in his brain. Whatever it was, it was killing me not knowing why he was so well put together every time I had seen him.
