Waking up in the hospital is getting old now. I just want to take my baby home. Today is my babies birthday , and she's laying in the hospital bed. I woke up this morning and Odell was gone , I looked at my phone and it said 6:30 , it was so early. I am having a hard time staying comfortable in these beds , Bailey was sleeping peacefully. I walked over to her bed and kissed her forehead. I walked out into the hallway to call Odell and see where he was. I called and it went straight to voicemail, he's gotta be around here somewhere. I walked towards the reception desk. The nurse looked up at me and smiled.

" Good Morning Mrs.Beckham, can I do something for you?"

" Have you seen my husband ?"

" Yes ma'am as a matter of fact , he told me to tell you he went to grab something from home and that he'd be back in about an hour. But that was almost 45 mins ago , so he should be back any minute."

I nodded and smiled , thanking her for the info. I walked back into the room and crawled into the bed with Bailey. I cradled her in my arms and smiled. " Happy Birthday Baby." I can't believe she's already 3 years , she shifted in her sleep and I closed my eyes.

I woke up because I felt Bailey moving around under me. I sat up and looked at her smiling.

" Happy Birthday Baby ! I Love You."

" Thank You Mommy. I love You Too! Daddy said he has a surprise for me. He told me to put on this dress."

She held a dress up for me that was beautiful but I had never seen before. I smiled and climbed out of the bed.

" Well how about we get you into this dress and see what daddy's surprise is?"

She was so excited . I helped her down out of the bed and we walked into the bathroom.

I put the dress on her and did her hair. I wrapped the headpiece in her hair. I stepped back and looked at her, she's such a beauty , such a blessing.

" You look so pretty babygirl. Come on let's go see what's the surprise."

I looked in my mirror at myself and frowned. I need to do something to myself. I ran water in my hands , and ran my fingers through my hair. One perk about my hair water was the solution to everything. I applied light make up and looked in the mirror again.

" You look pretty mommy." I smiled at Bailey leaning down towards her.

" Not as pretty as you baby."

She giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck. I hugged her back and we walked out of the door. The nurse was standing their with a bunch of balloons in her hands. Bailey loved the nurses she's been assigned so this meant the world to her.

" Your daddy is waiting down the hall for you Baby B" Bailey nodded and smiled at the nurse

Taking the balloons , she wrapped her small fingers in mine and we walked into the conference room that Odell was waiting in.

"SURPRISE" everyone yelled scaring Bailey, she had a huge smile on her face and so did I. I had NO clue that Odell was planning any of this for her. The space was beautifully decorated just for her.

It wasn't drastic but it was perfect for her. I wiped the tears from my eyes and watched as everyone hugged and kissed her. I walked over to Emeli and my mom and looked at them both.

" Did you two know he was doing this?"

" We had an idea, but we were sworn to secrecy and couldn't say a word."

We had a blast we danced and we ate. And Bailey had a huge smile on her face the whole time. Odell and his operation Birthday at the hospital was a success. The best way to end the night was the doctor telling us that Bailey could go home tomorrow afternoon. I was so happy we could finally go back to life being normal.

What I didn't know is that it was going to be anything but normal.
