Walking down the path, Sparkles messed with the diamond sword that was tucked in its holder. He was going to go visit Syndi before they began their 'Mianite' drama the group did weekly. The Dianite follower was acting off and Sparkles was beginning to worry about him. Sure they just became friends a month ago, but Syndi made him feel... well... not like a demi god stuck in a Crafter world. Like he belonged with them.

Making it to an intersection, Sparkles paused, listening closely. Did he hear-

Before he could react Sonja came out from behind a tree, letting out a war like cry before hitting Sparkles with the hilt of a dagger. Sparkles took a step back to avoid the blade, eyes flashing white. Tucker came from behind, going to land a blow on him with an axe but Sparkles moved in time to have Tucker stumble past him.

"Stay the hell away from Syndi!!" Sonja screeched, going to hit Sparkles again but was thrown back by seer force. Sparkles lowered his hand, looking at Tucker who had stayed in a stance but far enough back.

"I don't you what you mean," Sparkles replied with a smile, playing dumb. Sonja snarled, but stood her ground a few feet back.

"Don't you lie demon," She began to circle him, Tucker following suite. Sparkles glanced between the two of them, sword out of its holder and raised.

"Then explain," Sparkles sneered, eyes now fully white.

"You're a god! A real one for this matter! What the hell do you want with Syndi," Sonja shouted. She went to attack again but Sparkles blocked her and sent her back again. She fell and rolled a couple times before getting back up. Tucker rushed to be by her side, not taking his eyes off Sparkles.

"Yes. I'm the Son of Herobrine," Sparkles smirked, bowing just a bit, "and I want to be a friend to Syndi."

"Bullshit," Tucker called out. "He doesn't need more trouble."

"As his friends we will protect him from assholes like you," Sonja continued.

"We failed once and we won't fail again," Tucker added. He suddenly had fear flashed across his face. Sonja jabbed his in the stomach, but it was too late. Sparkles lost his cool, looking worried, then angry.

"Who hurt him," His voice darkened. Tucker became nervous, backing up behind Sonja who held her ground. She tightened her lips shut, glaring at Sparkles.

"I said. Who hurt him," Sparkles yelled, clouds darkened above them. Sonja had a flash of fear across her face but she hid it quickly with determination. Sparkles took steps closer to them until he towered over Sonja.

"I will find out myself," Sparkles continued. Sonja held her chin up higher.

"He only trusts friends with this knowledge. And I'll never let you be his friend."

--

"I'm fine. Honestly," Syndi tried to convince Sonja who was busy wiping a cut on his arm. She tisked and shot him a glare, getting him to shut his mouth. Tucker stood nearby fumbling through a cabinet before pulled out a white container.

"You should stay tonight. Me and Sonja are gonna make a homemade pizza," Tucker tried to lightened the mood as he set the box nearby. Sonja opened it and pulled out some bandages and ace wrap. Syndi flinched just slightly, and the two friends pretended to not see it.

"I really should go back soon. He'll be worried-"

"I'll call him to say you're staying with us," Sonja cut him off as she wrapped his arm, moving to wash the cut on his head. "A home cooked dinner and a movie is better than take out and having to climb to your tree house."

"My legs aren't broken."

"I thought you said you fell down the stairs," Tucker spoke up quietly, sitting by Syndi, "surely your legs must hurt-"

"Oh um yeah," Syndi coughed out, giving them a sheepish smile. Sonja rolled her eyes, moving back to look at her work.

"Anywhere else?"

Syndi shifted and rubbed his non injured hand, looking everywhere else but them. Hesitating, he lifted his shirt a bit to show a giant black and blue bruise growing on the side of his stomach. Tucker sucked in his breath and Sonja sighed, putting a hand on a Syndi's so he'd pull his shirt back down.

"... you're staying a week."

--

Sonja drank her coffee slowly, keeping her eyes locked on the wall in front of her. Syndi was finally able to see them, saying he had no time due to being in a relationship with two demi-gods. They were gonna meet these two at their favorite coffee shop. Theirs.

She put her cup down harshly, getting some to spill. Tucker nudged her with his foot, getting her attention.

"Syndi sounded excited."

"He's faked it before."

"Sonja-"

"He's our friend! Practically a little brother to us! We know him better than these two demi-gods," she kept her voice low but it still was raised to get some attention. Tucker saw the hurt in her eyes, but chose to ignore it. The two looked to the door, seeing the familiar blue haired friend walking in with two others.

Sparkles was one of them, just seeing him made Sonja growl under her breath. The other was shorter but a name wasn't coming to mind. As soon as Syndi saw them, he brightened up more, rushing over to them.

"Guys! This is Sparkles and Ant," he introduced. Sonja froze a moment, glancing at Tucker. Syndi seemed... genuinely happy. The three sat down and Syndi jumped into his normal chatty self, mostly about what's been happening.

Sonja narrowed her eyes at the new one named Ant, trying to figure out his intentions with their friend. He glanced at her and raised an eyebrow. Sparkles joined the conversation once in a while, mostly adding to what Syndi said.

"Oh! And I also got stuck in a tree a couple times," Syndi smiled brightened. Ant laughed quietly, leaning his head on Syndi's shoulder.

"I had to rescue you."

"I could of gotten down!"

"I gave you an hour," Ant countered, smiling when Syndi got huffy. Sonja shared a look with Tucker, since Syndi only ever joked with them. Hell, he was never affectionate like this with... him. Seeing him this happy with others was rare... very rare.

--

"So you can spend the night," Sonja doubled checked, getting a nod from Syndi. The three were on the couch at Tucker's place. Sonja leaned against him while Syndi had his head in her lap. A cheesy animated movie played in the background but no was watching it. Movie nights were once a week with the three years ago.

"They let me do what I want," Syndi spoke through a yawn. Sonja was messing with his hair, which always made him tired.

"So they're not overbearing," Tucker questioned. Syndi shook his head. Sonja chewed on her lip, glancing at Tucker to see if she should ask.

"Tom... They're... nice right?"

Syndi sat up and looked at them both, confused but then became serious.

"If I understand what you're asking, then yes. They're nice."

Sonja let out a breath, letting him lay down again. The two decided to stop questioning Syndi about the two demi gods. If something were to happen, he'd come to them first.

They were his friends.
