Chapter 7:Katniss

I opened my closet door and pushed the clothes to the side.Then I looked at the bottom of the closet. A long black box. I picked it up and set it on my bed. Damn this thing is dusty,I thought to myself. I wiped off some dust and opened the box. There sat 2 bows. An old wooden one and a district 13 modified bow.

As much as I miss this wooden bow,I think that the high tech one might be more useful. I picked it up and looked at it. What the hell? There's no god damn ammo just plain old crappy arrows. Ugh . I guess I might as well use the raggedy wooden one.

Peeta walked in.

"Hey there. You found that bow?

"Yeah it's really dusty. Oh yeah and the high tech one has no ammo,just plain arrows."

"That sucks..." Peeta said. (Probably not knowing what to say.)

"Yeah it sucks." I said.

"Hey,you sure bring all the arrows,from both bows."

"Smart.You ready?"

"Yeah. I have all my stuff packed. You?"

"No I just have the bow."

"Hurry up it's getting dark." Peeta said as he turned around and left our room.

I got a black backpack and inside of it I put a couple changes of clothes and food that will last long like crackers,a couple cans of food,bread,water bottles (with water.) and some other stuff. Then lastly I put a jacket.In the outside zipper I put some bullets and a little tiny gun. Then in the smaller pocket,towrds the top,a little knife.

For my clothes,I wore almost a jean type pants,but black so I can't be seen in the dark. Then I wore short black boots. On top I wore a green shirt and a light black jacket.......like the one I wore in the first Games. In my boot I put a knife. Around my belt,a gun. On my back but under my jacket where the arrows and bow. Peeta was packed and dressed similar.

"Ready!" I called out.

Peeta walked in.

"You sure you want to do this?"

"Yes Peeta"

"Last time to chance your mind. I ain't saving your ass this time." He said jokingly.

"Saves my ass!I saved your god damn ass Peeta!" I said with a laugh.

"How?" He asked smiling.

"Let's just see how.I got that medicine for you in the first games,I kissed your dirty lips over and over for soup,I shot Cato with an arrow when he was choking you, I made sure you didn't eat the berries,I MADE the district 13 people rescue you and much more, Lover Boy!" I said half serious but still smiling.

"I helped your ass too. I told the world I had a crush on you,told then you where pregnant,made the careers not go and SHOOT you when you where up in that tree,had you run away when they where coming and more!"

"Ok,ok your right.l I said smiling.

"Let's get out of this damn place!" I said after.
