The next morning I awoke with a stupid alarm clock screaming at me. Rolling over, I slammed my hand over the button and set up, groaning as my comfort was soon lost. I threw my covers back and stood up walking to my bathroom to submerge my skin with the warmth of the water.
Once I was clean to my liking, I turn the water off and stepped out. The cold air slapped my naked body and I couldn't help the grasp that escaped my lips. Shit that is cold. I walked out into my room and begin to get ready. I decided to wear black skinny jeans along with a white flowy top and did my hair in a lose fish-tailed side braid. Leaving my makeup light and simple. I brushed my teeth and spray on a light mist of perfume. Grabbing my bag, I make my way slowly down the stairs.
As I approached the kitchen I hear my mom working over in the kitchen. I popped my head around the corner and screamed as loud as I could possibly muster and my mom nearly jumped out of her high heels. Me being me, I laugh so hard I began to cry. She shot me a look that I'm sure if they could kill I'd be long gone. I shut up quickly and grabbed an apple and left to school quickly, before she could do something about it.
The drive to school was quick and as I pulled up I noticed Daniel, Autumn, Leo, and Molly standing next to my parking spot talking amongst themselves.
Quickly, I parked and grabbed my stuff and got out to approach my friends. Daniel looked towards me and smirked. Confused, I smiled, "Spill!!" I challenged. Molly smirked and chucked, "Well....this Friday...there's this killer party going. Its a college party but seniors can go. My brother Gwen invited us to go. We are all in. You?" I shrugged and thought about it. I'm off for the rest of the week. "Fine. But I'm not getting overly drunk like last time." Autumn and Daniel laughed loudly, remembering what happened.
*FLASHBACK*
I stumbled into Carson's room. The music from the party was loud and overbearing but I laughed. When I finally looked up, I saw my worse nightmare coming to life.
"Oh fuck yes! Harder!" I saw Carson on top of another girl. I sobered up quickly. I yelled as loud as my drunken voice could muster, "What the fuck!?" The girl pushed Carson off and I saw who it was, Amy Davidson, my best friend since third grade. I grabbed the doorknob and crashed to the floor. Unconsciousness consumed my body.
*FLASHBACK OVER*
I laughed half heartingly. They didn't know what happened that night. They think I got too drunk and passed out. Oh well.
Daniel laughed, "Maybe you can bring mister mystery man?" I blushed and shrugged. We started walking into the school and as soon as I step in I see them....together. Carson's arm was lightly swung around her shoulders and the smile she wore, made me sick to my stomach. Her eyes caught mine, and a look a pride and hate over took her expression my heart sank to my stomach and tears began to swim in the brim of my eyes. I shake my head and head towards my locker, refusing to give her the satisfaction of seeing me hurt.
After throwing my stuff into my locker and going to class I realized this day was going to go by fast. I took my seat and pulled out my headphones and filled my head with the beautiful music sending me into deep thought.
My teacher walked in but I decided to ignore him, knowing he was just going to turn on a movie we watched a million times before. Once the lights were off and the movie was blasting through the cheap speakers the school provided, I pulled my phone out and began checking all my apps.
The bell finally rang, announcing I had five minutes to arrive at my next hour. So I quickly gather my things and exit the room. As I walk to class my phone begins to ring, I groan as my favorite song is rudely interrupted, but answer it still.
"Hello?"
"Hey, its Sabastain." I smile as his voice fills my ears and laugh.
"How the hell did you get my number?" I heard a deep chuckle and shivered with delight.
"Well, seeming to the fact that you gave me your first and last name, I looked you up on Facebook. And your number was on there." I laugh lightly and sigh, "Well, mister stalker, what's up?" His chuckle fills my head and he retorts, "Hmmm, well are we still meeting today? If so, we kinda need to know where." I mentally slap myself and answer, "Of course, where do you want to meet?" He went quiet for a minute and then replied, "How about that little diner off of Main Street? You know what I'm talking about right?" I thought about it and nodded, "Uh, yeah. We can do that." He let out a breath and said his goodbye and we hung out, pausing our conversation until later.
Lunchtime came rather quickly and I took Daniel and Autumn to Sonic were they gossip about everything and everyone. I shook my head and ordered their food, not wanting to show them any interest. My train out thought was interrupted when Daniel poked me to show the girl standing by my window with the order. I apologized and took the food, tipping her five dollars for my rudeness. I started the car and drove back to the school but oddly enough it was extremely quiet. I refused to acknowledge the solitude. Knowing they were all looking at me.
As I pull into my parking spot, Daniel cleared his throat to get my attention but I acted as if I didn't know and continued picking at my tots. When Daniel pushed me softly I didn't even respond just looked at him. His eyes were the costume of worry and wonder. I laughed and shoved a tot at him. He smile but refused it. Autumn watched humorously and giggled when Daniel roared in disgust.
All grew quiet and suffocating so I cleared my throat and kill the engine. "So.....?"
