'Grrrrrr''grrrrr' it was the SMS tone of Ore's phone as she picked it up, "oh my God" ore screamed "oh my God" she screamed louder as she stood up jumping up happily all around the sitting room "what happen" i asked smiling curiously "see" she showed me the message she has gotten that she has been offered admissions into university of Ibadan, as she continued jumping and screaming, i immediately stood up to look for my phone too hoping to also see the same message but it was all blank, i stood looking at my phone screen hoping it'll just appear.
"It's probably network, Toluwani received her own yesterday and I received mine today, just be patient ehn" ore said tapping my shoulder comforting me. Throughout that day, I couldn't take my eye off my phone screen expecting my own message, the most annoying part was when m.t.n sent me a text message telling me to subscribe for some ring back tone when I was busy expecting a reasonable message....annoying set of people. I prayed for my own admission alert as I couldn't even sleep comfortably that night I continued checking my phone until I finally gave in to nature and slept off praying to see it tomorrow morning.
I felt my phone vibrating under my pillow as I sleepily took it out to see it only to also see my own admission alert, I rubbed my eyes to confirm that I wasn't dreaming or still sleeping after reading it over and over again I too couldn't help screaming as I ran to Ore's room holding my phone up to her
Face "hey ore I've gotten my message too" I said happily ore was so happy with that as we both ran to Ore's parents room to tell them the news ore has not told her parent about her own admission as she promised to wait till I receive mine. Ore's parent's were so happy with the news we sang and prayed together. I was not only happy because of my admission, I was also happy that I'll be able to see Bamidele again, I just can't wait to finally resume.
