Oh..its been so long since I updated and I'm so sorry about that...well...I have no excuses for that since my school is on strike...I've just been too lazy..so please accept my apology.
The first day at school was really exciting, being in a place away from home.
When we got to our room which was labelled B26, we met Tolu and our other roommate whom we later knew as chioma as she came from the eastern part of nigeria.
We unpacked our bags and arranged our clothes inside the wardrobe the school hostel provided for each student, after the whole unpacking and arranging.
I excused myself as I left for my faculty to be, The faculty of law, I felt a rush of excitement through me when I saw the the symbols of law and the old buildings of the student courtroom and classroom, I stood in the middle of the faculty surveying the whole surrounding as a thought came to me 'by this time next week, I'll also sit in one of those classrooms receiving lectures in my black and white or black and black uniform and I'll....' My thought was interrupted by an old man in a faded native buba and sokoto who must be in his late 50s he also has tribal mark on his cheek showing he is a typical yoruba man and probably the faculty guard
"kilo n wa nibi, Iwo 'mode yi(what are you doing here, you this child)" he said in the native language, eyeing me up and down, I greeted him immediately by kneeing down
"Ah..eku irole sir, sesede ni mi, adini yi ni won si gba mi si, mo kan ni ki wà wo ayika wo ni sir(ah, good evening sir, I'm a fresher in this faculty, I just came to look around sir)" I replied him also in the native language
"ehn ehn ah, omo Dada, Pele, wa s'aseyori ninu eto eko re, wà....(oh oh ah, good child, weldone, you'll succeed In this your course of study, you'll....)" he started showering prayers, oh my,
that is the problem when you come across a yorùbá person.
"amin amin amin sir, eh sir, mo ti fe ma lo sir, eshey sir(amen amen amen sir, please sir, I want to start going now, thank you sir)" I said as I quickly scurry away from him and the faculty letting out a breath I never knew I was holding.
After my escape, i decided to visit the legendary love garden of the school, I sat down on one of the carved chair in the garden, the garden is indeed beautiful with beautiful flowers and trees to define it, also the real and original fresh air, the wa....
"Hi pretty" my thought was suddenly interrupted by a beautiful unfamiliar male voice and also handsome young man, he wore a big vintage shirt and knicker, also fair in complexion with full eye brow and long eye lashes, very hairy, I thought. "Hi" I replied with curtsey
"Can I sit next to you" he asked.
Really, there are so many sit in this garden so why here, I wanted to say that, but .
"sure, why not, is not like the sit is mine" I said shifting for him to sit before I continued in my thought, Bamidele, when I'm I going to see him again...I might even never see him again, I signed at that thought.
"you must be a fresher?" I was once again interrupted
"yes" I replied with a shy pasted smile which I'm really expert in.
"Welcome to the first and best, I'm Anjola, Anjolaoluwa and you?"he asked curiously.
"Tayo, OluTayo" I said with a small smile.
since he also said his full name, I should as well and he gave me a knowing smile, nodding his head.
"So, you're in what faculty?"he asked
"Law"
"Wow, you're in law" I nodded
"that's my faculty too, I'm in 300 level" he said with a big cute friendly smile.
"Wow, you don't mean it...it is really nice meeting you" giving him a surprise look and smile.
"So that mean we'll get to see each other in the faculty"
"Sure, why not".
We chatted for a while as he told me about the faculty and also about the lecturers as he mimicked each one of them making me laugh I also asked him maybe he knew the man I met earlier as I described the man to him which he said yes and that the man is known as Baba Bimpe and that he is also the security man for the faculty.
I stood up as it was already getting dark and ore has been calling me and also sent me a text that she has prepared our food, it was then I realised I was hungry.
Anjola insisted on seeing me off to my hall since his hall is not far from my hall.
Anjola and I continued chatting as we walked to the hall, it was really nice meeting Anjola, cool, friendly, Good looking and funny, very funny.
