"Oh my god my feet are killing me," Verity said as she settled into a seat and propped up her feet on another. Regina sat down next to her with a weary sigh. The day had been long and tiresome but they were both were glad to have half of the Mia Phoenix wedding over. They had the biggest part to look forward to that weekend and Regina wasn't sure if Verity was going to be able to hold up. If she just sat and blinked long enough she would become exhausted.
"I told you to go home after they cut the cake."
"After all of that work I put in for this wedding, you better believe that I'm going to see it through." She grumbled as she chewed on a gummy worm.
"Yeah but look at you now you're exhausted."
Verity just waved her off as she watched Ramona pack away their vases while Rashad packed the boxes onto a dolly. Regina was very skeptical about Ramona's new found relationship with Rashad and wanted to say something but Verity told her to mind her business.
"I really think I should say something,"
"She's my intern now mind your business. I know Rashad's intentions are pure...for the most part. He really likes her and Ramona says that he's good with her daughter. Leave them alone."
"Whatever,"
"We're gonna pack the truck and head home," Ramona said as she gathered up her things.
"Ok, don't worry about the keys just bring them in Monday." Verity said as she pulled on her gummy worm.
"I still don't like it," Regina hissed as she watched Ramona and Rashad walk away.
"Too bad," Verity said as Dimitri walked over to them.
"Ready to go babe?" Dimitri asked as he held his hand out to help Verity up.
"Carry me," she begged as she held up her arms for Dimitri to pick her up looking like Sabrina. Regina rolled her eyes as she shook her head. Without a word Dimitri scooped his wife up.
"Dimitri you are so whipped it's a shame."
"I'm not whipped I just know when to pick my battles."
"No you're whipped but it's okay baby." Verity said as she kissed his cheek as they walked towards their car.
"Will you be okay getting home? You look dead tired." Dimitri asked as he walked Regina to her car.
"Yeah I'll be fine, take crabby home and give my baby a kiss for me." She said as she got into her car.
Regina put her music on blast and before she knew it she was driving into her condo's parking lot. When she made it to her condo all she wanted to do was fall into bed. She was surprised when Christian greeted her at the door.
"What are you doing here? I thought you had to work."
"I had to cancel a surgery so I got off early." He said pulling her into him for a hug. "You look tired."
"I am tired," she mumbled as she wrapped her arms around him.
"I have your bath ready," he said as he led her towards the bathroom. "How was the wedding?"
"It was a nice, pretty low-key, like the calm before the storm." She said as Christian unzipped her dress and kissed her bare shoulder.
"I'm worried about Verity though," she said as she undressed.
"Why?"
"She's gets tired rather quickly, I suggested--oh my god this is heaven." She said as she sank down into the warm bubbly water. "Thank you for this baby; I don't know what I would do without you."
