I went to lunch after class. I was completely afraid that I had to eat in the bathroom like the girl did in Mean Girls. After getting my lunch I walked around aimlessly looking for an empty spot. I spotted this cheerleaders from before. They spotted me and motioned me over. I walked over and the girl with the long brown hair started to speak, "are you new here?" Man, I'm going to get sick of hearing this. "Yeah. My name is (y/n)." "Here, sit." She motioned to the other side of the table. I sat down as she started to speak again. "My name is Kaylee and this is Shana." Kaylee pointed to the cheerleader next to her. There was another cheerleader next to me but she didn't notice I was there. Or she did and she just ignored me. "You're welcome to sit here anytime." She smiled at me. "Thanks, that's really nice." I mumbled. "So we saw you with your brother I'm assuming since he looked too young to be your dad." She just kept smiling and waiting for my response. "Uh yeah, he adopted me so he's technically my legal guardian. Honestly he just takes care of me." I told them. Shana spoke before Kaylee could, "oh you were adopted?" I nodded. "You know you're like really pretty, it's almost unfair." Kaylee said. Is she hitting on me? No, what kind of girl cheerleader is lesbian? I'm sure that would make everyone else feel uncomfortable. "Thanks." I started eating my food. It was surprisingly good for looking like shit. A redhead came over and stared at me then sat down next to me, to my left. "Oh Heather, this is (y/n). She's new here." Shana said. "Hi." She smiled at me while I smiled back. Lunch rolled by too quickly and it was off to math for me.
