Being unable to see was a real chore. You couldn’t go five steps without running into someone and even walking around your own house had become a problem. It hadn’t always been this way; you used to run around outside taking care of deliveries and playing with the children in Snowdin when you finished. Now you have to turn the kids away and you can’t do the deliveries anymore, you really took a large blow from this. Your only saving grace was your friend Sans who stopped by to talk for a few hours each day.

‘Ah. It’s about that time, isn’t it?’ You thought. Of course, you couldn’t confirm it because you couldn’t see the clock that was hanging on your wall; but you could guesstimate at least. There was a knock on your door which brought you to attention. Pushing your chair back from your table, you shakily went to your wall and felt your way to the front door based on the sound. Griping the cool door knob, you slowly opened the door and gave a small smile. “Hi Sans!” You said cheerfully.

However you weren’t greeted back, feeling something was off you tried to back away from the door. Who was there? It wasn’t Sans, you could tell that now by aura alone; but what really frightened you was the fact that this person wasn’t friendly at all. It was a near suffocating evil feeling, you turned around to run however you couldn’t see where you were running and accidently slammed into the edge of your kitchen counter. A wave of pain coursed through your body and you fell to the ground.

You could hear the footsteps of the being approaching and then you were dragged onto a sleigh made of wood. Your hands were then tied up and no matter how hard you tugged the restraint wouldn’t detach from whatever it was tied to. Your attacker didn’t talk at all as they proceeded to stuff cloth or something in your mouth so that you didn’t make any hearable noise. Afterwards the sleigh began to move and in silence all you could do was look around with a frightened look in your clouded green eyes.

Sans was standing quietly in wait in the so called Justice Hall awaiting Chara, whom had manifested in Frisk when they began to just kill the monsters they fought against. This would be the 100th fight between him and chara; and Sans was ready to keep fighting until Chara gave up trying to beat him. Chara killed his brother without a second thought when he could have shown him mercy. The same thing happened to nearly all of his other friends.

You were the only one that was still alive and he planned to keep you that way, even making sure that he kept quiet and didn’t mention you. Speaking of…you were probably waiting for him still. It would seem like a few hours to you but in reality you had been waiting for maybe a few days because everything restarted when Chara re loaded.  Sans made a mental note to apologize to you for being so late when you were looking forward to seeing him. He looked forward to seeing you too after this was all over, maybe then he could talk about how he really felt.

Sans began to get uneasy as the minutes ticked on. Chara wasn’t here yet and it never took this long to get here. ‘Did they give up?’ he wondered to himself. That would be the best possible outcome for this and was Sans hope. However just as this hope came back, there was the sound of something being dragged coming from the end of the hall.

Sans turned to look in the direction, trying to see the source of the sound. Once he could catch a good glimpse, his eyes widened significantly. Coming towards him was Chara, dragging behind them a battered you. You were covered with bruises and cuts, Sans even believed you were dead. At least he did until Chara nudged you a bit on one of your bruises causing you to moan in pain.

There was a flash of relief in the skeletons eyes before they contorted into a fierce angry gaze. “So…You’ve decided to resort to something so low to beat me?” he spoke in a harsh tone, different from many of the other times he had spoken to Chara. There was no response from the offender as always and their eyes never changed only now a cracked smile graced their face. Sans looked down for a moment before looking up.

“Hey…Kid…

Sans was kneeling down, worn out and injured rather heavily from the fight. Chara had moved on to the throne room, leaving the gravely injured skeleton to limp his way over to your lifeless body. You had been killed by Chara during the last minutes of the fight as a last ditch effort to get Sans to give in. He didn’t, but the few seconds that his concentration faltered gave Chara enough time to wound him. You lay, sprawled on the floor helplessly with a huge gash spanning from your chest to your lower body and crimson surrounding you.

The dying Skeleton brother reached out to brush the stray hairs out of your now cold face before speaking. “Hey… (Y/N). I’m sorry for making you wait so long to see me. “He gave an exhausted wary smile.  “I really enjoyed talking to you. You were a really interesting human.” His voice got a bit softer as he saw his vision blur. Your body slowly falling out of sight as it took over.

“And you know what? (Y/n) You might be one of the first people that I’m so fond of. So…”

Sans coughed something up and then fell over, his body made an echo throughout the corridor. Although he himself was no more, there was a faint whisper that seemed to blow through the corridor before dissipating that said:

“(y/n). . .I might have loved you. . .”
