"Good morning guys! We've finally landed and we're in New York!!" Bobby yells to his camera for his new vlog. We are standing in the corner of a New York airport, whiffing the smell of the fresh aircon. Around us are busy people doing their busy business and we look like two idiots standing around filming theirselves. Bobby's wearing a blue jumper and black jeans on with a cap on his head to cover up half of his black hair that i 'accidentally' shaved off for a YouTube video. Oops.
A few people turn around to see us casually talking to a camera but ya know.. we get paid for this.
"Woooo!!! New York !!" I jump into the way of the camera smiling like a child.
I'm wearing my grey champion hoodie with black ripped jeans and white low cut converse, I must look like a mess right now with my messy hair from sleeping on the plane and bags under my eyes. Leaning against the wall, tightly griping my suitcase, I scan my surroundings.
"We are here for a very very special secret announcement for you guys!" Bobby whispers to the camera noticing that lots of people have been staring at him. "But i can't tell you guys what it is yet because-"
"Bobby's gay" i interrupt smirking at him. Turning to me he laughs.
"shhh that wasn't for today's video" Bobby jokes.
"Oh right, sorry guys!" I play along, laughing,I grab my suitcase and start making my way to the exit and Bobby follows.
The airport is beautiful, and usually I don't call many things beautiful, let alone an airport. But this airport, it was something. It was giant and had marble walls and-
Bobby stops me in my thoughts.
"Kian, tell our viewers how fucking huge this airport is" he says as we walk past the checkout.
"Bro, its probably one of the biggest airports I've ever been too. They've got all you can think of, Giftshops, waiting seats, security, the check ins and outs, the bag area, food and more food and not to mention some pretty hot chilas." I end with a wink at the end and Bobby smiles.
"Oooo, Kian back at it again with the hot girls" he laughs
I just smile, And then it hits me.
I mean I haven't thought about her in ages, but the last time I had a thing with a girl was with Andrea Russett.
And me and her ended pretty badly and it fucked up my life for a few years actually. I'm okay now, but I guess me getting over Andrea was great for Bobby, since he was my roommate, he had to cause he to deal with a 5.7 crying machine. It makes me sound so week but she really hurt me, and the best thing is, that I haven't thought about her in so long. Besides, I'm in New York, this place is full of just as amazing girls, if not even better.
I follow Bobby to the exit of the airport where thousands of people are crowded to get to a cab. My friend puts down his camera and his smile fades away.
"I'm actually going to drop this brand new camera if I try and film anything here" he says as we push through the crowd.
I feel my face turn into a grin. Pushing him like a child on a swing I start yelling "Don't drop your camera! Don't drop your camera!"
Unamused, he punches me in the arm
"OOOw!!" I practically yell though you couldn't hear it because of the sound of New York.
We are going to be staying at a fancy hotel with the view of The Lady Of Liberty. I'm most excited for that and getting to go to all the shops, and I'm sure my viewers would be pretty excited for this.
It was my best friend, JC's day to vlog today for KnJ vlogs. So tomorrow I've got to find out something really fun to vlog for my day to make the viewers happy. But in New York you can basically do anything so it shouldn't be too difficult.
We wait outside for a cab, but it takes too long so we just call an uber instead.
20 minutes later our uber finally shows up and we hop into the car.
"Where to?" A man with a strong east coast accent asks. He looks around 40 and has dark brown skin and hair.
"Themore Deluxe hotel" I tell the uber driver.
"Ok"
Bobby pulls out his vlogging camera and starts to film himself.
"Sooo uber driver? How's your job going for ya?"
"Yeah good man, how's being a little American in a big city?" The uber man says
"Good,good,good." Bobby laughs. "Oh Kian, you know what I have stuck in my head right now?" He turns to me.
"Justin Bieber?" I joke
"Noooo! It's the song and it's like.. " Bobby starts singing Empire State of mind by Jay Z at the top of his lungs.
"IN NEW YORKKK SOMETHING SOMETHING WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF!"
I start crying of laughter.
"Im hoping in a city like this you'll be able to find at least somewhere to have singing lessons." The uber man says calmly.
We burst into laughter. "HAHAHAH BRO, bro! you just got told off by uber man, yo you're my new best friend uber man what's your name?!" I practically yell.
"Pete" he laughs
"Yeah well Pete, thank you for you're concern but my mom told me I was as good as Beyoncé." Bobby jokes
"Maybe even better." I add on
We all laugh and my face starts to hurt from laughing so much.
"I'm Bobby and that's Kian"
"Yeah i had to come along with him or Bobby would get lost." I smirk
"Mmmh well you take care of him man." Pete says.
"Wait guys why am I the target?" Bobby laughs
I look out the window and I see a Target store.
"Sp-speaking of target!" I try to say while laughing, pointing to the Target store.
"Oooo that means pillow talk!!" Bobby chokes of laughter.
Pete must think we are the weirdest people. I mean, he's not wrong.
Pete shakes his head and laughs as he stops at a stop light.
I look outside the window and I see that everywhere you go is tall buildings and people everywhere, the sky is a bright blue and all you hear is cars beeping.
When the green light turns on we continue driving and I feel myself drawn to looking out the window.
"Ok it was nice meeting you Kian and Bobby, have fun in New York." Pete says pulling over to the front of a hotel and then parking the uber.
"Cya Pete!" Bobby yells and with wide eyes I open the car door and hop outside to see the gorgeous streets of New York City.
