"Why are those Korean boys going around talking to random girls?"
You moved your sunglasses off your eyes to get a glimpse of these men on the street clearly under the bright, LA sunlight. One seemed to have reddish hair. Your eyes then went over to the cameras, and you flicked your sunglasses back on while making a "tch" sound. You assumed they were youtubers or stars from their country trying to get famous in America.
"They're probably Asian celebrities," You answered in a bored tone.
"Girl, they are super cute!!!" (Y/F/N) gasped. "And they're headed this way!!!"
Your friend's squel made you flinch and grumble under your breath. You looked over at (Y/F/N), who was frantically straightening her outfit; she wanted to look good for those good-looking men. You rolled your eyes and just crossed your arms over your chest as you leaned against the wall behind you -- you were used to your friend being this crazy about foreigners. You didn't even care anymore.
"Hey, my name is Jin," The one with reddish hair introduced himself, a charming smile on his face.
They even had a strong Korean accent. It made you cringe. You yourself were Korean and didn't have that accent. It had been completely American after living there for so long; even your parent's accent changed.
"Nice to meet you, Jin..."
Obviously, your American friend thought it was cute. You rolled your eyes and looked away in utter embarrassment, as the black-haired male stood in front of you. You were biting your tongue so hard, it could bleed.
"I'm Jimin," He said, giving a flirtatious smirk.
You pressed your eyes shut in frustation. You tucked your hands into your pockets, and looked at the male through your dark sunglasses. He was smiling at you. You returned a fake one and nodded in acknowledgement so they would get the point. They had no idea how much you wanted to leave the scene.
"We really want to take... uhm... a picture with you," Jin hesitantly asked, showing you guys the pink polaroid.
Nope. You can't stand this torture anymore.
"Yah," You stated in Korean, "We don't even know who you are, and we are just really tired form walking around LA all day."
They had become completely silent from your almost fluent Korean. Jimin almost seemed to be a little angry at your harsh tone. He narrowed his eyes at you and pressed his lips into a straight line. There were so many things he was controlling himself from saying.
"So it would be nice if you asked other people to be in your picture," You said through clenched teeth.
You just gave them a blank stare before latching into your friend's hand. The next moment, you gave them a bow of respect -- almost in apology -- and then walked with (Y/F/N). Just because you were brought up in America, it didn't mean you had forgotten your manners.
"(Y-Y/N)! What did you say to him?!" (Y/F/N) asked, feeling the anger radiating off of you.
"It's nothing, let's just go."
The boys gave you both a curious look; Jimin almost mad, Jin completely confused out of his mind. They watched you walk away in complete shock, their lips parted. They really hadn't expected that.
"What a mean person," Jimin grumbled, hating how you had spoken to him informally, and impolitely.
They had never been talked to by a girl like that before. It was a drastic change from all the compliments and swooning they usually got.
"(Y/N), you were so mean to them! Jimin and Jin were super cute."
"Eh, I've seen cuter guys," You mumbled, tucking your hands into your pockets.
(Y/F/N) bit her lip, wanting to change the topic into something happy. She hated when you are mad like this -- your wrath is quite scary.
"Gosh, you're so lucky moving to Korea in a few weeks. You'd see cute guys everywhere," She sighed blissfully.
"Yeah, yeah... Let's just go home."
You then latched onto your friend's arm, and pulled her in the direction of your apartment. That was the most awkward encounter ever. You did not want to meet them ever again -- hopefully you wouldn't. Your grip tightened around (Y/F/N)'s wrist, and you looked back once more. They were still there, one of them holding the polaroid camera up.
Maybe your friend was a little right -- they were kind of cute.
The two were just watching you blankly walk away, only being snapped out of their trance when a click came from Jin's camera.
"Did you seriously take a picture of her hyung?!" Jimin gasped.
The said male felt a slap against his chest, making him grunt.
"She turned around. It was just something I automatically did!" Jin tried to reason, glaring at his donsaeng for hitting him.
Jimin snatched the printed picture from the polaroid, and shook the photo to develop the color. His band mate's eyes snapped toward him and leaned over to look at his shot. He was curious, after all -- it was an accidental shot; he would be surprised if it came out nicely.
Wow...
Your (H/L) hair had been blown away from the side of your face, a few of the (H/C) strands sticking to your lip balm. Your pink lips were slightly parted, and your eyes could almost be seen through your dark sunglasses. You were the main focus, no one else. Both the males seemed to be completely stunned by the sight. Never had they seen true beauty, until this accidental picture.
"Lucky shot..."
-A FEW WEEKS LATER-
You embraced your brunette friend in a tight hug. It was finally time to go to Korea and you weren't eager at all. It had been a few years since you had visited the country and you didn't want to start over again with new friends.
"I'm going to miss you (Y/N). Make sure to skype me every weekend, okay?" (Y/F/N) sniffed.
"I will, I will," you shakily replied.
"Oh, and make sure to text me when you reach there! Send me pictures of your house as well--"
You covered your rambling friend's mouth. It was something she always did to keep herself from crying, and you were always the one to shut her up.
"I'll be fine. I'll do everything you told me to yesterday," You explained calmly, giving her a reassuring smile.
Removing your hand from (Y/F/N)'s scrunched-up face, you held onto the handle of your suitcase. Your grip was tight, and your smile was twitching. It felt like your heart was going to shatter.
"Dammit, (Y/F/N)," You mumbled sadly, realising how much you would miss her.
One last, tight hug was shared between you two.
"I'll miss you so much. Take care."
You guys finally pulled away, holding hands until you finally went through airport security and went to your gate. Your heart was thumping against your chest.
Korea, here I come...
