Oh good I see dead people. Part III
-Shady, shady wake up. Shady. SHADOW-
It was Angel. I opened my eyes and saw him jumping in my bed at my side.
-Today you're going to school. And you are gonna drive me and will give me a candy because my mom just give me boring food. And will give me a peak before you go and Michael is going to be so jealous because he said he loves you, but you are my sister and I will not let him hit on you..-
I began to laugh and hugged him tigh.
-I missed you too little brother-
-Oh my gosh your breath smells like toilet- he said and laugh out loud.
-Shut up- I said laughing and began to tickle him.
I loved his laugh, it was so nice to hear it.
-What's this?- My mom said, standing in my door with a smile on her lips.
-Mom please save me. Shady is killing me-
-Shadow let your brother go dress. And you, get ready. Is already late-
I release my brother and he run out to his room. I got up and give my mom a hug before going into de bath.
My hair was still a curly short honey mess, but I manage to make it look good. Or well I mean, no that bad. I wear a jean jumper, black shirt and black converse. Nothing too special. I wanted to look just.. normal.
I went downstairs where my mom was waiting for me with my breakfast. Angel was asleep at the couch. Kids.
-Come on honey, eat.- My mom said.
-So, where's dad?- I asked putting some pancakes in my plate.
-He went while you were showering. You know, now he works double. To pay the hospital bills-
I looked down. It made me feel so guilty.
-Don't worry honey. You're ok and that is all that matters-
-Sure- I said low voice and kept eating in silence.
-Well, is time. I'll drive you to school.-
-You? I can dirve mom-
-No, Shadow. You won't drive anytime soon.- My mom said several.
I just look at her. I couldn't be pissed. She was rigth.
Finally we parked in my school after leaving Angel in his. My heart was racing as I say bye to my mom and began to walk in. I saw a couple of people staring at me, and hear people whispering. I enter the building with my sight on my shoes, trying to keep my heart calm.
I got to my looker, and check my little book where I wrote all kind of information I maybe forgot. I put my biology, math and english books in my bag and started walk.
-Hey Shadow!-
I turned and see Fabiana. She was tall and curvy, naturaly tanned. A latin beauty. I hadn't forgot absolutly anything about her. She was my best friend since kinder garden, and a couple of week ago when she walked in my hospital bedroom I totally recognize her.
-Hola Fabiana- I said hugging her.
-Is everything ok?-
-Yeap. I'm going to math with Mr Black. You?-
-Biology- she said bored.
-See you at lunch then-
-Sure, you know the last table on the left. That's where we sit-
-Oh, mm, rigth. See you there-
I walked to class. Or I tried. Soon I noticed I was a little bit lost, every hall seemed just like the last one, I looked trough the doors trying to find a teacher I actually didn't remember. How could I be so stupid and didn't ask to Fabiana where the room 32 was?
There was almost no one in the halls, everybody had entered to class, and I began to feel stupid. How couldn't I remember about my own school? I hated. My eyes began to fill with tears. This is ridiculous. I will never get trough this damn accident. My life would never be the same.
I sit on the floor and hugged my legs. This is so wrong. I just wanted to go home.
-Hello-
That voice.
I looked up quickly. And there he was standing. With the same honey eyes and cute face.
-Ashton?-
-Yeah. You remember me- He said smiling.
-Well, at least I remember you-
There was a silence. He sit next to me, and I could feel his sigth on me.
-So.. how's life?-
-Awfull-
-Well, at least you're alive-
I looked at his eyes, full of pain.
-I'm sorry-
-Don't be- he smiled. It was a beautiful smile. - So you go to school here?-
-Well, I supossed to- I said with sad voice.
-How's that?-
-I.. don't remember any of this. You know, I had a car accident. And I hit my head pretty hard. Now I don't remember almost anything. I got lost in own school.-
-I had a car accident too- was all he said.
-Yeah? How?-
-I don't like to talk about it-
-Oh-
I stayed shut. Almost a full minute passed, it was so weird, I actually felt better with him there. Suddenly he stood up.
-Are you leaving? Can I know how to reach you?- I asked.
-You can call my name and wish with your heart my prescense and I'll be there. And no, I'm not leaving. I'm actually leading you to class.
-Are you?-
He laugh. I just loved hear people laughing. And his laugh was sweet.
-Yes, I am. I use to study here. Where is your class?-
-Room 32-
-Ok let's go- he said and helped me to stand.
We walked in silence.
-This is weird- he said.
-What?-
-Had been years since I talk to someone. I mean, receiving feedback-
-Is nice to talk with you.. even if is not normal-
-I still don't understand how you can do it.-
-I died. And later came back. So, I guess, I left an open door-
-That's a theory- he smiled.-We're here.-
-Oh- I said looking at the door with the 32 number in it. -Thank you very much.-
-Your welcome. So.. see you around?-
-Yes-
And he disappeared like a ghost. Well, he was a ghost.
