Everything in this moment felt so right, nothing was giving me any warning, nothing was making me fear him before me. I felt normal, I felt okay, maybe he would be willing to change his ways for me. This kiss is intense and makes me weak to my knees. His hand that around my waist and my arms locked around his head are the only things keeping me from collapsing to his feet. He tastes sweet, but I can also taste the nicotine he smokes from time to time. He groans as I ran my hands through his hair but he pulls away but quickly returns his lips to my face.
"Please." He removed his lips from mine and kissed my cheek, as I open my eyes to look at him in awe. His soft kisses make me shudder and want to just do anything for him in that moment.
"Give." He says kissing my jaw causing me to tilt my head back for my accesses
"Me." He kisses my neck, causing me to hold his shoulders tightly as I moan his name.
"A." He says kissing my neck again making my knees buckle.
"Chance?" He says kissing my lips hard, I clench my eyes as he brings his hands to my face, I nodded my head agreeing and groan feeling the vibrations of my voice against his lips make him go crazy and he pulls away staring deeply into my eyes with a bright smile.
"Mhm, yes." I breathe out breaking the kiss, smiling up at him, he smiles down at me and I realize what I'm doing, I can't, no, what am I doing, I can't give him a chance, not after everything he has done to me. He presses me harder against the wall and kisses me again sighing in content as I'm wide-eyed not moving my lips to his.
"Wait, wait, wait, Jackson, no," I said pushing him off of me, he stumbles back confused and takes a step forward once he gets his balance back.
"What why, did I do something?" He asks looking down at me grabbing my hands and connecting our fingers together.
"If you want a chance it needs to go slow," I said looking up at him un-connecting our hands.
"Okay, and I'm sorry." He says grabbing my hands again, he held one and kissed the other.
"What for?" I ask leaning my head against the wall looking at him.
"Hurting you." He says kissing my hand again and leaving it on his lips.
"It's okay, I forgive you," I say walking into the living room and sitting back down on the couch grabbing the remote curling up into a ball.
"What do you do?" I ask as he plops down next to me putting his hand on my knee gently and laid down on the couch.
"You know." He says looking at the tv and not at me like he was just a few seconds ago.
"I want you to tell me, yourself," I said shuffling on the couch so his hand wasn't on me and my body was directly facing him.
"I'm, a gang leader, I lead the most powerful, and dangerous gang in New York. I kill, steal, sell illegal things, I kidnap, I do the worst things possible to people. I'm heartless." He says low looking at the T.V. and not once looking at me.
"I don't think you're that heartless," I tell him, I hear him laugh a little smiling at the T.V.
"You don't know me well enough love." He said lightly rubbing my legs and finally making eye contact with me looking so doe-eyed.
"Yes, I do, you're not heartless." I sighed leaning my head on my arm that is leaned up against the back of the couch.
"Say what you want, but I am, I'm much worse then what you think of me." He grumbles looking back at the T.V.
"Stop okay! Just stop, you're not heartless, if you were you wouldn't be here with me, I don't care what other people think, it's just about me and you." I say grabbing his hand and lacing my fingers with his, gaining his full attention.
"Whatever." He mumbles. I let go of his hand and curl up in a ball on the opposite side of the couch, not touching him tired of him being so disagreeable. I fall asleep to Jackson watching drag racing.
When I wake up my body feels so stiff and it hurts to stretch, my neck I severely cramping but I slowly ease the pain once I stand up and put a heating pack on it, thank you cramps for making me buy a very expensive heating pack, but it works so well, I don't know what I'd do without it, all those torturous nights, this pack makes it bearable. I realize as I sit at the kitchen table Jackson slept here, but when I walked into the living room he wasn't in there, I walk down the hall and into my room but he isn't in there either, I look over at my window and see a piece of paper taped to it.

Hey Cleo, I had to leave late last night, I had business to take care of. I will try and talk to you later.

I'm holding the note playing with it in my hand and just realizing how we met, from a shooting, that he caused, and he kidnapped me, the beat me. How is any of this okay, if I told anyone about how we met they would think I'm disgusting or crazy for loving a man who beat me. I mean if that were my own daughter, I wouldn't let her even be in the same state as him, so why am I doing it? I should really call Kaylen, she has a better understanding of this stuff than I do, I should let her explain to me what I'm doing is okay and it's not the wrong move.
"Hello?" She answers shocked, and a little hesitant.
"Kaylen, its Cleo, can you come over, I want to talk?" I asked playing with my heating pack as I hold it against my neck.
"Oh my God, yes, yes, of course, I'll be over right now!" She yelled into the phone with excitement.
I took a quick shower and put on leggings and a big sweater, I blow dried my hair and put it in a ponytail and put on some mascara. I started making mac-n-cheese and boiled hotdogs, and a few minutes after the doorbell rang.
"Come in!" I yelled I unlocked the door once she said she would gladly come, the door opened and slammed shut a few seconds after.
"Hi," Kaylen said low as she dropped her bag on the counter sitting down at the table.
"Hey," I said back putting my focus on the food as I poured it into two bowls and cut up the hot dogs and split them in half and put them in the bowls and handed one to Kaylen and kept the other for myself, obviously.
"Coke?" I asked walking into the fridge grabbing my own.
"Totally." She said, I grabbed two cokes and sat down with her at the table.
"So, explain, everything," I said to her looking up at her as we ate I wanted her to tell me all her secrets before we speak about Jackson, we need to know everything about each other.
"So, I had met Hunter a while back when I was 16, I had, I used to be a prostitute, to make money when my dad and brothers died, under Hunters call. He found me one night when these guys tried, tried to rape me. I, I was scared I didn't know what to do, so I froze, I lost everything, there was nothing to live for. We were in an ally, Hunter came and helped me, I was too scared to move so he picked me up and took me to the mansion.
He helped me not fear anymore, clothed me, fed me, gave me shelter and not long I found a reason to live, other than Hunter, I was pregnant, not by him of course. I didn't know who the father was. But because I got so stressed out about needing to protect the baby, I lost her, at six months, I had to, push her out of me, the doctors said there was no saving her, she wasn't growing properly, she was stillborn. And yet again Hunter helped me get through it, I met Jackson a few months later and the rest of his crew.
They even helped me, I grew attached to Hunter, then I started working at the club finally getting my act together, and met you, the girl who became my best friend. I had no idea there was going to be a shooting and neither did Hunter nor Jackson. But please, don't shut me out, you and Hunter are all I have." She cried to me, still not touching her food as she spoke, this was a serious time, so I knew her appetite was going to be gone.
"I-I had no idea, I'm so-sorry Kaylen, I'm here for you," I said grabbing her hand and rubbing it gently across her knuckles.
"No, it's my fault, I should have told you." She said back smiling at me and grabbing my hand squeezing it.
"How about we both go to the mall and take a full day of just shopping?" I question with a smirk on my face, she went wide-eyed and nodded her head furiously fast. We ate very quickly almost choking becoming full of all the food plus a nice soda.
"Alright come on!" I said putting our bowls in the sink and running into the living room slipping on my white flip flops at the front door grabbing my phone and purse. Kaylen followed right behind me and into her car. Once we were in and buckled up I got a text from an unknown number.
From unknown- Be safe at the mall love.
