"Shinichi.." You gave a small smile seeing that he was okay. He was standing in front of a burn spot in the grass, staring down at it. But your smile soon turned into parted lips after seeing an eye stick up in front of his shoulder. "(Y/n)."

You took a step back when he faced you, you stared at his right hand that had an eye on in his index finger and a mouth on his palm. "(Y/n)..it's okay. This is Migi." You relaxed seeing how calm he was, then you glanced down.

When you glanced up, you stepped beside Shinichi, hugging him tightly, causing him to tense. "I'm glad you're okay." You blushed feeling him hug you back just as tight, and when he pulled back, he gave parted lips after seeing you with watery eyes, looking behind him at the corpse of Gotou.

You watched the decomposition of your so called 'Step dad' begin, making you give a small gulp after making eye contact with him. "I'm sorry..." You smiled a bit, holding back tears when he pulled you close to him, making you blush again.

"He had the right to live. But he chose his own doing. Granted, I believe rights are a concept unique to the human species." You gave parted lips turning to the side, only to make eye contact with Migi, about to speak to say it was the same voice you heard. But you heard Shinichi give a small chuckle like grunt, which made you silent.

When you took a step back, Shinichi raised the butcher knife he clinched in his left hand and chopped the head off. After that, you and him continued the walk towards the town.

"You going to be okay?" You stopped, which made him to the same after taking a couple of steps on the hill of the road, where it showed the town below. "I think so. A few bruises and..bite-marks but. Because of you. I'm more than okay."

You blushed when Shinichi smiled, rubbing the back of his neck with a small chuckle. He was about to speak when he glanced to the side, but after taking his left arm, interlocking it with yours, you kissed him softly on the lips.

"I care a lot about you.." you stood back off your tiptoes, and started to pull him along. He grinned and blushed as you smiled. "I care a lot about you too (Y/n)." "Why don't you tell her Shinichi? Your heart rate hasn't stop the beat increase when you first sa-." "Cut it out Migi."

"Enjoy class. I love you." "I love you too." After giving Shinichi a small hug, him secretly giving you a peck on the head before he went into class and you walked down the halls to go to your class. It was a week later after the incident. Shinichi and you were a couple, you continued to live at your recent house, alone. But every now and then, Shinichi would stay the night.

The parasite incident has also changed in a good way, according to Migi. They're has been less deaths with the human race. Either they have been dying, or they have been acting more human by eating meat instead.

You blushed, smiled more than usual. Like you use to when it was you and your mother. Even though her disappearance is still a mystery, you couldn't help but to blame Gotou. And as for him, he was just a faded memory.

"Shinichi." You pressed your hand on his locker, before you grabbed the handle of the door that belonged to your Algebra 2 class, stepping inside just as the bell went off. "Sorry...still get a bit lost Ma'am."
