You sat quietly on your bedroom couch reading your book, the boy was finally going to tell the girl how he felt. Your eyes swept past words quickly filling with excitement, you pull your finger up to your mouth to bite your nail from habit, grinning. You flip through pages of the old worn out book you had gotten 2 days ago at the library. More than halfway into the book, the boy and girl grow closer to one other leaning in, closer than they've ever been before and-
You hear a faint tap on your window. You look up from your book frightened, you stick the book mark into the crease of the book and throw it on your bed. Walking over to the window you see a dark figure, you move your white creamy curtains to the right and you see him. H/n,the only guy that would come up to your window at this time. You push up your window letting in a warm breeze along with your boyfriend. You smile at him as he climbs through the window.
"What are you doing here?", you ask glad he came. He pats his pants clean and looks up at you smiling.
"What, am I not allowed to miss you?", he makes a confused face. You laugh and hug him wrapping your arms tightly around his neck as he lays his hands loosely on your waist. You pull away plopping down on your bed, patting the space next to you signaling him to lay with you. He grins weakly at you while he takes off his sweater laying down next to you on his back. You lean over onto him with your leg on his lap and your hand on his chest.
"How was school?", he asks blankly
"It was good, not too exciting. What about you?", you respond looking at his chiseled jawline running your thumb across it gently. He stayed quiet and that blank expression never left his face. He avoided eye contact with you, looking up at the ceiling instead.
"Hey...", you speak out gently into the silence, sitting up to lean on your elbow. Your hand reaches out to kindly caress his cheek.
"Baby, are you ok?", you tried to look for something in his expression, but all you saw was puffy red eyes. Before his hand comes up to cover his eyes, his thumb and index finger pinch the bridge of his nose as his eyes squint closed tightly. You got the message that he didn't want to talk, so you sat in the silence with him. You hugged him tightly, trying to show him your sympathy without words. He stood still, his arms didn't grab your waist, his head didn't lean on your shoulder. He just let you hug him as he stood completely still. When his eyes open slowly to look into yours, you could see the hurt through his eyes, the pain showed through his whole expression, and it shattered your heart. He sniffles, and you can't help but tear up.
"h/n...talk to me", you mumble loud enough for him to hear, still gazing into his soft eyes. He looks at your worries expression. His hand comes up to caress your tear stained cheek, as he wipes away a tear.
"Don't cry, I'm sorry...I'm just so stressed. My mom brings home a new guy everyday. She serves them like a waitress, and she doesn't even look at me throughout the whole day. I'm failing almost all my classes...everything piles on, on top of another. All I have is you to get me through the day. Then I think of you, and you don't deserve a mess like me. You have a future ahead of you, I wouldn't live with myself if I screwed that's up for you." You stood there listening to every word he said come out like nails on a chalkboard. It hurt you to listen, but you listened anyway, your heart broke as he expresses what he was feeling inside. How hurt he's been, but how you're the one who keeps him going. That's how you knew you needed to be there for him. You wouldn't think of leaving him alone at his worst, you would be there for him whenever he needed you, at this was one of those times.
"I'm not leaving you if that's what you think I'm gonna do. Im staying right here, and so are you. You're spending the night if you need to get away from home. I'll help you with homework, I'll tutor you, we can talk about your problems and I'll help you solve them. Leaving you at your worst will not help me or you, it'll just make things worst for the two of us baby", he listened to every sentence that you spoke out rambling. His eyes admired yours full of passion as you gazed at his. A small grin began to raise onto his face as you caught your breathe from your rambling. His eyes stopped tearing, but they remained puffy and scarlet. He sniffles once more as he looked down, pondering on his next move. He looked up at you with devotion, and love.
"God, I love you", he spoke out as your heart began racing , meanwhile he walked over to you slowly. His lips attach to yours as you smile. You arms swing over to lay on his neck, and his hands pull you tightly against him. You feel your lips pulsating from the sensation he caused, you breath becomes uneven as your heart races rapidly. His breath heavy, you pull back quickly
"I love you too", you say before your lips attack his after you annunciate those 4 words you'll never get sick of. His lips curve into a smile against yours before you giggle quietly.
