That limo drove away and I couldn't watch. I didn't want Ethan to see me nor did I want it to be obvious that I was looking at Bella. I couldn't let her figure out. Not yet. Had she seen the letter? What were you doing, Will. Your such an idiot. Why would you even try to talk to her?

After the limo was out of sight, I ambled home.

When I got home my parents were asleep on the couch, like always. My dad with a half full beer bottle in his hand and my mom sleeping with her mascara smudged. It's the usual. I went up to my room, closed my door, and swung my bag onto the floor. Then I flopped into my bed and thought. It's what I always do. I think and think. Just about things.

There was a small knock on my door.

"Come in." The door creaked open and I sat up to see my younger sister, Emma.

"Can I sit?" She asked in a tiny voice. I nodded and patted the spot next to me. She sat and jumped into my bed. She leaned her head on my shoulder and and put my arm around her. She was the only person that actually cared.

"So I got an A+ on my math test..." she brought up. I looked her in the eyes.

"That's amazing!" I said. She smiled shyly.

"Why don't we get ice cream to celebrate?" I asked. She thought for a moment and then nodded. I held her hand and we left the house to walk to the ice cream shop.

As I was eating my chocolate ice cream, I couldn't stop thinking about Ethan's head against Bella's. I couldn't stand how much he loved her. It made me a bit sick.

"Will... are you ok?" She asked. I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, yeah. Fine. So, how was your day?" I asked her. She shrugged.

"Mike called me homeless because of my clothes. He called them rags. And then everyone laughed." She said looking to the side.

"Well, Mike's a jerk. Ignore him and his friends. I bet he has 30 girlfriends." I said trying to make her feel better. Emma laughed. She pushed her half eaten ice cream away.

"Im full." She said. I took her bowl and mine to go throw them away. I walked back to get her and we walked back home.

Luckily our parents were still asleep. We sneaked upstairs to play a card game until dinner.

Halfway through the game, the power shut off. Emma screamed and grabbed my arm. Using the moonlight, I got up and found a flashlight in my drawer. I turned it on and went downstairs to get our parents, but they weren't there. Great. I got a lantern and we continued to play a game.

The door swung open at about 11:30 PM and Emma was already asleep. It was my parents. They must've went to the club or something. I could tell because of the footstep pattern and their talking. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and I rolled over and closed my eyes. My door creaked open and I heard them mumbling. Then they chuckled and left. Then I heard their door close and the halls were silent. Then I got tired and fell asleep.
