After school I went to Emma's locker hoping I could see her one last time before she left. She wasn't there so I just shrugged it off. Me and Hunter were going to the bar. And no, were not old enough to drink. Which is why we don't. We literally only get grape soda. We do this every Friday. The waiter is maybe 50-60 and he's pretty cool.
I walked out side and Hunter was on a bench with Piper.
"Hunt! Let's go!" I said not looking at him. I kept walking. I heard and exchange on mumbles from him and Piper and he rushed up to me.
"Hey bro."
"Hey. So, Emma has been weird lately. Like, she's been really jumpy and stuff."
"Maybe you need to show your love for her. Y'know, 'Netflix and Chill'?" He said with a smirk on his face. I nodded. That was probably it.
"True, I'll probably just invite her over tonight." I replied.
"There ya go," he said as he got in the car.
"Hello boys! Back again?" The bartender, Jerry, welcomed. We nodded and jumped up on the bar stools. He handed us some grape sodas and I grabbed out my phone so I could make plans with Emma. We worked it out and I chugged my soda.
"...Hunter? Do you think she's cheating on me?" I swallowed my gulp of soda.
"Probably not. You can ask her about it, but I'm sure she would never." He answered and then took another big gulp.
"True, true." I said spacing off.
After we finished our soda I headed home to wait for Emma. Soon enough there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" I yelled. I watched the door open and there was Emma with her baggy sweatshirt and sweat pants, her blonde hair in a messy bun and her thick rimmed glasses, paired with some Nike slip ons. She looked adorable. She sat down her purse and sat on the couch next to me.
"Hey babe." She said as she pecked my cheek.
I put my arm around her. "Hi pumpkin," I said kissing her forehead. I grabbed a fluffy blanket and covered us up as she pulled her legs up. She leaned her head on my shoulder as I searched for movies on. Netflix. I found a romantic movie that sounded decent and put it on.Halfway through the movie I made some popcorn and set in between the two of us. Before I turned the movie on I asked,
"On a scale of one to ten, how much do you love me?" She didn't need to think.
"100."
"Well I would answer 1000 for you." I said looking at her. She looked up at me and rolled her eyes.
"I change my answer to 10000 then." She said Laughing. I then rolled my eyes. "Ok." Then I turned back on the movie.
The movie had ended and I thought I should ask if she was cheating. It's been swirling around in my head this whole time.
"Are you cheating on me...?"
"What?" She scoffed. Uh oh.
"Are you?" I looked her in the eyes.
"Why would you think that? I would never do something so selfish." She replies sternly.
"Well you've been really jumpy lately and it seems like your hiding something huge." She nodded.
"Well with exams coming up I'm just skittish. I'm really nervous."
That makes sense. I hugged her tightly.
"I'm sorry. I just overreacted."
"It's ok. But I should get home. Charlie is probably wondering where I'm at." She got up and grabbed her keys.
"Bye see you at school tomorrow." She waved and shut the door. I shuffled to my room and got into bed.
