Darkened pleasure

Prologue

It happened out of no where, one minute all was right in the world the next they revealed themselves. Creatures of all kinds came out in the open. Between them stood a war so big it shook the earth, humans became extinct and buildings crumbled. As the world begin to die the war continued, brutal and unforgiving. Thousands met their deaths while others were left broken of the mind and body. Through all this the war pushed on. It wasn't until new leaders stepped in that a pact was made. For the dark creatures it was a man that had been alive since the creation of earth, a vampire everyone considered Lucifer himself. For the day creatures a woman so cold it was rumored that Ice ran through her veins. Together they met within the dividing woods where peace would be made. In return for the protection from all the dark creatures and to ensure that no one shall cross the divide the day creatures agreed to send their own out as sacrifice until twenty were sent out each year. For hundreds of years this pact has continued and will do so until the end of eternity.

Or so they thought.....
