Chapter 11

When we got to our dorm I laid down on the bed.

"What's wrong Brownie? You just got made leader of team MCRY, aren't you happy?" Asked Cato.

"Cato, have you ever met someone, who you thought was a different person then they really were?"

"I don't under-"

"Cato, Rei isn't who we thought she was."

Just then Yui and Rei walked in.

"Myra?" Asked Yui in a concerned tone

"What do you mean Rei isn't the person we thought she was?" Asked Cato.

I sat up and pulled my wallet out of my pocket.

"N-No way..."

"I-I'm so sorry, I-I can explain" said Rei

"WHAT THE HELL" Cato yelled. "WE TRUSTED YOU, BECAME YOUR FRIEND, WE EVEN SAVED YOUR SORRY ASS FROM THAT SNAKE, AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY US!"

"I-I'm so s-sorry" said Rei, fighting back tears.

"I DONT WANT TO HEAR YOUR-"

"Cato wait, lets hear her out first, ok?" I said. I was still hurt by what she did, but maybe there was a reason.

"Fine, but there better be a good explaination." Said Cato.

"Well then Rei, I guess that's your cue" I said.

Rei sat down on the bed, "Im warning you all right now, it's a very long story"

"We all are listening." Said Yui, as she sat down on the bed next to Rei.

"Well, it starts when I was little. I know my accent might make me sound like I'm from Vacuo, but originally I wasn't. I was born outside of the kingdoms, near Vacuo, on a White Fang camp."

We all gasped.

"Great, Now she's a thief and a member of the white fang, what else was she in the mofia." Said Cato.

"Cato" I said warningly "Let her finish"

"Fine" he muttered.

Rei continued "Anyway, I was born on the white fang camp. My mother and father were members of the White Fang so it was only natural that I was born their. I've never agreed with the white fangs views, I mean, I don't think segregation is fair but I also don't think violence is the way to stop it. The thing is, they weren't just violent to the people who were segregating, they were also violent to there own people. I saw awful things happen to people who failed missions. My parents were one of these people. When I was around four, my parents left for a mission and came back unsuccessful. I was supposed to be killed to punish them. But they gave me their weapons and sneaked me out at night so I could run away. I didn't want to, but I had too. So I ran. I ran and ran and ran until I finally reached Vacuo. My parents gave me money and that was good to support me for about two months, but once the money ran out I was doomed. I was to young to work, even if I was old enough to work I didn't know a trade. So I resulted to pickpocketing to live. When I was about eight, I went back to the camp to try to rescue my parents, just to find out that they were burned alive for helping me escape. Ever since that day I made a vow, a vow to myself and all of the others the white Fang had killed. I made a vow that one day , the white Fang will be mercilessly crushed in my hands. So I became a huntress, I learned how to fight, and even was able earn some cash. Not enough though, because I knew that if I wanted to become a huntress, I would need to go to school to become one. So I've been pickpocketing to save up the money to pay my loans. That's no excuse for what I did though. I'm just not used to this "FRIENDS" thing yet I guess. If you don't forgive me I understand."

Rei was in tears now, I could tell she wasn't lying about this.

"Rei, you're a part of our team now. Of course we forgive you." I said

"Im sure Cato does as well" smiled Yui

"Yeah, I'll forgive her on one condition." Said Cato.

"Y-Yeah" Rei sniffles

"From now on, if you need money, don't steal it, I know Myra and me have plenty, and judging by her clothes, Yui probably does too. So from now on ask us for money if you need it. You're not alone anymore so don't act like you are."

"O-Okay" Rei smiled and jumped onto Cato to hug him. Cato face flushed red and me and Yui giggled.

"So team MCRY! How about some dinner!" I said

"Ok!" Says Rei

"Yeah now that you mention it, I'm pretty hungry!" Exclaimed Cato

"I'm hungry too!" Yui exclaimed

"Alright!" I exclaimed "Let's get something to eat!"
