CHAPTER 4: MYSTERIOUS
"Sino ba kasi siya?"
"Anong ginagawa niya ditto?"
"Katulad din ba natin siya?"
"Umalis na muna kayo, baka naiistorbo niyo na siya."
Unti-unti kong minulat ang mga mata ko. Although medyo blurry yung paningin ko, I started to make out the figure of someone sitting right in front of me. Pinikit ko ulit ang mga mata ko at nang idilat ko na ulit ang mga ito, klaro na ulit ang paningin ko. In front of me was a guy. His black hair was disheveled and his forehead was scrunched in seriousness as he was concentrating on reading something on his phone. Sa sobrang pagkaka-concentrated niya sa ginagawa niya, di niya nga yata namalayang nagising na ako. I propped myself up on the bed I was lying in. I looked around. Nasa loob ako ng isang kuwarto. Malawak ito. The walls were white, pure white. Wala ring masyadong gamit dito. But although I couldn't find any air conditioners or any other source of ventilation, kapansin-pansin ang mahina ngunit malamig na pag-ihip ng hangin. It sent a shiver down my spine.
Habang busy ako sa pag-analyze ng kinalalagyan ko, I suddenly felt uneasy, as if someone was staring at me. Nang sinubukan kong tingnan kung nasaan yun, I was greeted by a pair of blue-green orbs.
"How do you feel?" tanong ng lalaking ngayon ay nakaupo sa harapan ko.
I gulped. Although his presence seemed calm and comforting, there was still something mysterious about him that made me feel uneasy.
"I-uhmm, I feel fine." Sinubukan kong sumagot.
He smiled. "Don't feel uncomfortable. Ligtas ka naman ditto. Don't worry, I don't plan on doing something to you... yet."
His words sent shivers down my spine.
"What's your name?" He asked, now with his sweet and calm smile, as if what he said wasn't something to be uncomfortable with.
Sinubukan kong magsalita upang masagot ko ang tanong niya.
"Lorealai." I croaked out.
"I'm Ethan, nice to meet you, Lorealai."
