I: Surprise
Their concept of her: inhumane, merciless, and murderous. Really, she wasn't ruthless like most of the notorious ones were. On island in the north, Mokusei, was a ship. Or more precisely, a mere submarine. A yellow one; one which was too noticeable---especially in the blue sea.
Under normal circumstances, she probably would have murdered them right now, or at least try. However, they weren't really the vicious type of pirates; they were at tranquil. Unlike those crazy men, instantly assaulting her on sight. It was foreign not to attack someone who stepped foot on her island, but she managed to restrain from the act.
She was merciless to the scum, but an honorable woman who never disobeyed the laws, or her superiors, even if they were irritating or fools.
A suspicious white bear dressed in an orange suit, a red-head with hair barely passing his jawline also clothed by the same orange suit as the bear and the bloke next to him. Of course, there was the one who seems like the leader of the group, as he didn't wear the peculair suit.
He had his infamous, calm smile stamped on his face. With perfectly tanned skin that never seems to lighten or darken, and what seems like black bags under his eyes, as if he stayed up, studying. He had a white hat with brown dots sitting, completely relaxed sitting on his head. A black-sleeved shirt with a yellow base, the Jolly Roger of the Heart Pirates proudly smiling, a pair of old, jeans with strange and alien-like markings on the knee and ankle area. There were the letters that joined into "DEATH" on each of his finger. Other goth paraphernalia were placed on his frame.
The group of pirate, as she presumed, doesn't seem to denote a conviviality vibe, even from a panoptic view.
The raven-haired girl, also known as Bloody Eyes Megumareta Muhji, squinted her florid eyes at the group of oddly calm crew. She knew of the man, and the polar bear. The leader was a rookie, with a high bounty bouncing around his head. As for the polar bear . . . he was labeled as a mere pet, but the Megumareta knew that the white, furry bear was special. There's no way the government would just give as a random bounty, even as low as one beli, on just one "mere" polar bear.
The party pretended not to be aware of her presence and nonchalontly walked into the lush forest. Meekly, she followed behind the party, already known that they knew she was silently stalking them.
The foursome seemed like they were completely mute, completely ignoring Megumareta, but they were at the peak of their guard level, and perhaps beyond. After all, this woman was not to be underestimated, even when they outnumbered her by three.
"I thought you would have attacked us by now," the captain shattered the silence between the five.
"I thought that you would have been gone by now. You are lucky that I refrained from reprieving you." She replied calmly. Her voice sounded devoid of any emotions. However, scruntizing closely, you'll hear dripping venom.
"When will you attack us?" one of the man with the orange suit, with Penguin on his hat.
"I will not attack unless you attack this island."
After that, everything was plummeting to the bland silence again. No one needed directions. Only someone, or something blind would ask that. The place was occupied with the lushness and greenery of the forests, but you can easily see the tallest trees in the distance.
They had arrived in the city of Mokusei.
Well, it was appeared to be more of a village, but the definition of town was defined boundaries, and a government. It was huge too, so it was classified as a city. In the center was a maple that caught more attention than most trees, for its leaves were of many different shades. Yellow, orange, and red. No green. Although other trees were similar to this maple, they only had one color, and weren't as gaudy.
