"You're so creepy," Jason laughed as I watched through Mr. Herbert's window. "No, I'm not," I speak, "I swear I saw a kid running like a fucking maniac in there." Jason just laughed more.

I sigh, walking to the door and raising my fist to knock. "Go ahead, Sophie," Jason says, "ask him about the kid in his house." I look at him, knowing he's right and drop my hand to my side.

"Now come on, we have school," Jason continues his laughing spree. I cross my arms and walk beside him, feeling his arm go over my shoulders. "Don't touch me," I say in a squeaky voice to make it funny.

Jason moves his arm and laughs, "fine I won't, miss chipmunk." I smile, making a face like a chipmunk, "it is I, the chipmunk queen." Jason and I start laughing as we stop, waiting for the bus.

I wished it was always like this, but the minute we step on the bus, Jason would go to his athlete friends while I sit alone. I watch as the yellow vehicle screeches to a stop in front of Jason and me, and like I said, Jason jumps on the bus, going to the athletes.

I walk up the steps and start walking to my seat in the back, thanking the gods nobody's done anything yet.

Just as I think that, I'm tripped and fall face-first on the floor, the bus turning into a fit of laughter. I emit a sound of disapproval and stand up, glad that Jason didn't see.

I walk past everyone and sit in the back, some people still laughing, and stare out the window. House and shops pass by as the bus hurries to the school.

Normally I would be rode with one of my brothers, but they all had something to do early this morning.

"Mom wouldn't deal with any of her family being bullied, so she stood up for the weak."

That's what Lawrence would always say if he came home and someone spoke of bullying. I always hide it, except from Tyler, Riley never paid attention to anyone or anything.

I watch the school appear as we pull into the place. Everyone crowds to get off but I wait and stand up when everyone's off, only to get stopped by the driver.

I look at the old man, who's grabbing my wrist to stop me, he was a substitute because our normal driver was sick. "Do they always push you around?" I look behind me at the, now closed, door and nod before looking back.

"It's just a few pushes," I speak, "nothing that I can't handle." I break my wrist free. "Now I have to go before I'm late," he nods and opens the door, letting me walk into the hell that is this school.

I stare at the books in my locker, waiting for the bell to ring to signal class. My phone buzzes in my pocket and I take it out to look at it, only to see a text from Tyler and Jason.

I open Tyler's message, 'Jason said that you were going to stay after school and watch him practice.'

I laugh and reply with a simple 'yes' then check Jason's.

'I told Tyler what we were really going to be doing instead of you watching me practice. I'm expecting sloppy kisses!"

I look around me to find nobody and reply, 'You wish, you pervert.'

Makayla comes up to me just as I put my phone back in my pocket. "How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from Jason?" She asks, tilting her head to the side with an innocent look on her face. There's nothing innocent about her.

Just as I'm about to reply, my phone buzzes. Makayla looks at my phone in my pocket then looks at me, "who are you texting?"

I smirk, knowing I had something she'd never have. "Jason, of course." She frowns, pushing me into my locker. I roll my eyes. Makayla wasn't ever strong, she was only the captain of cheerleading.

I grab my phone and look at the text. 'You know I do.' Makayla growls, mad that I'm ignoring her as I respond, 'Mhm, now buh bye Mister Pervert.'

I, once again, put my phone in my pocket and look up to see Makayla, except madder this time. She opens her mouth to speak but the bell rings. "Oh, that's my cue," I sing as I walk towards the exit. "Where are you going, dork? Class is this way." Makayla yells and I smile.

"Not mine." I push open the doors and walk to my hiding spot at the field, waiting for Jason.
